THE REST OF THE GANG!

Back to School Betty

Mad Scientist Christian

Prom Queen Rio

And now for the rest of the Simply Betty bunch.  Isn't this just an awesome line?!  These cuties would work for so many different occasions.  I colored them all with Copics, again while watching TV.  I really need to stop doing that and concentrate.  It takes me so much longer than it should to get anything done.  The designer papers are all from my box-o'-scraps.  I used my MS Drippy Goo punch on the first two.  Nothing too fancy on these.  I wanted the images to be the stars.

Please stop over and check out all the details at Simply Betty Stamps.  I know you all want a chance to win one of today's newbies right? Then don't forget to leave a comment at Simply Betty or on our DT blogs.  You never know where Betty will go to pick the winner from... so why risk it.... leave some loving where you can!

Don't forget about our awesome challenges! You can find them at Simply Betty Challenges.  The more participants the more the prizes we will have to offer!
Thanks for stopping by.

GOING BACK TO SCHOOL WITH SIMPLY BETTY STAMPS

Artist London

Pile of Books Miller

Sporty Lola

It's another awesome Preview Day at Simply Betty Stamps.  Today we bring you Artist London, Pile of Books Miller and Sporty Lola.  Aren't they just super!!!!  I colored them all with Copics.  London is my favorite.  I kind of turned her into me.  I put a little Macaw on her canvas.  I have parrots and I thought they would like this.  I used generic papers and a swiss dot embossing folder on the London card.  I taped the easel down but popped London up with SU dimensionals.

For Miller, I used crayon paper from Reminisce.  I kept him nice and simple since I loved the paper so much.  Lola gave me a little grief.  Well, it was my fault, not her fault.  I tried to color her and watch TV at the same time.  I can usually do that with no problem but my niece Bianca and I were watching a marathon of Breaking In we had recorded.  We watched the entire season in one afternoon.  At least I finally finished Lola.

Please visit Simply Betty Stamps and check out what the rest of the design team has done and get all the new release details.  Tomorrow we will  have the rest of the images for you.  And don't forget to enter the current challenges at Simply Betty Challenges.  Thanks for stopping by.

Boys Toys

Hi everyone.  Today I am delighted to bring you Bob the Builder.  The 2 Sisters Challenge Design Team was asked to use any image to create a "Boys Toys" project.  I chose Bob because he is a favorite of my nephew Nathan.  I found this adorable image on an online coloring page and printed it out.  I colored him with Copics, cut him out and popped him up with SU dimensionals.  I kept the paper simple, Red, Yellow & Blue.  I added some hinges I got from Oriental Trading.  I got the brads from there as well.  I hope Nathan likes it.

We are sponsored by Stamp Fairy today so please check out 2 Sisters Challenge for all the details.  Thanks for stopping by.

Sketch Challenge at Simply Betty Challenges

It's a sketch challenge at Simply Betty Challenges today.  That means you can use any sketch from any challenge so the hard part will already be done for you.  I am using a sketch from Card Positioning Systems.  This is my first challenge with them.  I just found them online the other day.  They also have lots of prior sketches as well for those days when your mojo just isn't working.

I used the Evil Queen Rio image from Simply Betty Stamps.  I am sorry but she is just too darn cute to be evil.  This card is for my friend Mrs. Jones.  My husband picked out the image saying it was perfect for her.  I gave Rio blonde hair in honor of Mrs. Jones.  She is a Halloween nut so this Halloween image is perfect, as is the background paper.

I colored Rio with Copics (my marker of choice).  I added some MS Glitter Glue to her crown and mirror.  I used a Spellbinders die for the mat behind Rio and ran it through my BigShot with a Swiss Dots embossing folder for a little texture.  The cute little pumpkin is actually a button from Dress It Up.  The sentiment is from SU and the papers are from my still-not-empty-box-o'-scraps.

I hope you like it and Happy Birthday Mrs. Jones.  Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween Group

We have more awesome previews from Simply Betty Stamps today.  I am loving this group shot.  This is quite a group.  I think Gomez is my favorite.  I colored this with Copics.  The background paper is from Creative Imaginations.  Ha Ha.  I actually remembered one!  I bought paper sorters and am really going to try hard from now on.  This image had so much going on that I didn't want to add too much else to the card.  I really love Betty's new images.  Please go to SBS and check out the rest.  I am sure  you will want them all!!!

WOOO HOOO!!! IT IS SSD RELEASE DAY!!!

I am so thrilled to bring you the Queen of Hearts from Sassy Studio Designs.  Isn't she awesome!!!!!!  Today is release day and you know what that means...a Release Blog Hop.  We went simple with the hop this time.  They let me be in charge and I was a little nervous.  All you have to do is hop along and leave a comment on each blog and on the SSD blog.  The prize is two fabulous SSD images of your choice.  How great is that?!

For this card I colored my Queen with Copics.  I know I always color with them.  I promise to give you another medium soon.  I just can't help myself.  I love Copics.  If they would pay me to color every day I would do it.  Did I mention I love Copics???  The cardstock is from my box-o'-scraps.  The darn thing still isn't empty.  Once it is, I promise to be better organized and list the names of all the papers I use.  I asked around and was given some great tips.  I always felt the creative mind couldn't be organized but I am going to give it a try.

Now on to the hop.  Here is the order:

Treat boxes and Sweet Gothic Kids Halloween

Today the scrapbook ladies at Simply Betty Challenges are doing treat boxes or gift bags with a Sweet Gothic Kids Halloween image from Simply Betty Stamps.  I chose to do a pyramid box.  My local craft group does a challenge each month.  This month our challenge was to do a pyramid treat box.  We take turns giving challenges.  I wish I had pictures of the other boxes from my group to show you.  Sylvia and Bianca made amazing ones.  This box will also be a birthday card for my little niece Cara.  Happy Birthday Cara.   XOXOXOXOXO!

I am going to make this a short post as it is late and I am just pooped.  Please stop over and check out what the other DT members created.  Thanks for stopping by.

Dare to be Sassy Marilyn

Today is Dare to be Sassy Thursday.  The challenge at Sassy Studio Designs is to use 2 die cuts.  I started with this Oh-So-Awesome new image of Marilyn Monroe from SSD.  I used a Marianne's Designs die and a tree branch punch.  I am dedicating this card to my niece Grace.  She is such a MM fan.  She is going to love this!  This image is part of a new release from SSD which comes out Saturday.  Please check out our release hop and party chat.  It will be great fun.

Sneak Preview of Audrey Hepburn

Sassy Studio Designs is previewing Audrey Hepburn.  Isn't she so sophisticated?  What a lovely image.  I colored her with Copics and popped her up with some SU dimensionals.  I went with brown and blue.  Those are my go-to sophisticated colors.  I hope you like it.  If you leave a comment on the SSD blog today you will be entered in a drawing to win this image.

Please go to the SSD blog on Saturday for our Release Blog Hop and Party Chat.  For the hop, you will need to leave a comment on all the DT blogs and the SSD blog for a chance to win 2 images of your choice.  Then go back at 7 pm (pst) for a chat with the Design Team members, our guest designer and other crafters.

Sketch Challenge from 2 Sisters

It's a sketch challenge at 2 Sisters Challenge today.  We are sponsored by Pattie's Creations.  I am using the sun from Pattie's Creations.  I colored it with Copics and some MS glitter for a little sparkle.  All the paper is once again from my box-o'-scraps.  I am trying hard to empty that sucker.  The sketch has a shape on the edge of the piece going across the middle.  I decided to use my Fiskars grass border punch for this.  I thought it matched the sun perfectly.  What do you think?

Please hop over to 2 Sisters and check out the sketch so you can participate.  Sketch challenges are super fun since the layout is already done for you.  Good luck!

SGK

Franken Scott

Vampiress Tilly

Witchy Wednesday

Hey everyone.  It is Preview Day #2 and Release Day for Sweet Gothic Kids Halloween from Simply Betty Stamps.  These Kids are just so stinkin' cute!!!  I colored them all with Copics and again dipped into my box-o-scraps for the paper.  I am totally committed to emptying this box as soon as I can.  Whatever is left after the next 2 months is going to my beautiful Yellow-Naped Amazon Sydney.  She spends as much time in the craft studio as I do.  She loves paper!  When I am ready to go upstairs and craft I say "Sydney, want to make a card with Mommy?"  She flies over so fast I can barely get to the first step without her.

Please hop over to SBS and check out what the other design team members have created.  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Sally

Today is my friend Sally's birthday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY SALLY!!!!!  I whipped this card up for her a few days ago.  She is a bunny lover so of course I had to use a bunny.  This one is from Inky Antics.  I saw it and just had to have it for this card.  I usually like to add a baseball reference to things for Sally because she is the biggest Cleveland Indians fan I know.  However, I am really trying to empty my box-o'-scraps so I just tried to find something that looked cute.

I hope you have a wonderful day Sally.  Thanks for stopping by.

2 Sisters Color Challenge

Good morning everyone.  Today, 2 Sisters Challenge is sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps.  The challenge this week is a color challenge.  You must make your project using the following colors:

Now you don't have to use these exact colors, but come as close as you can.  I love color challenges.  It amazes me how different all the projects end up being, even though we are all using the same colors.  I used Chains of Love from Stitchy Bear for this challenge.  I colored her with Copics and popped her up.  I used more paper from my box-o'-scraps.  I hope to have this box empty soon!

Please hop over to 2 Sisters and check out what the rest of the design team has done for your inspiration.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.

The Lighter Side of Burton

Today The Burtonesque Dolls are doing the "Lighter Side of Tim Burton".  We are using adorable Merkids from Simply Betty Stamps.  I am using Tiki.  I must admit I had some trouble here.  I am really not all that familiar with Burton's lighter side.  I only know the funky, quirky and dark Burton material.  I decided that part of The Nightmare Before Christmas could be considered lighter so I went with a Christmas theme.  If you ask any of my friends, I am all about Christmas.

I colored Tiki with Copics and added some liquid applique to give her a little fluff.  I used mostly scrap paper.  I am on a mission to use up all my scraps in the next two months.  My stash is getting out of hand.  My studio has spread into my bedroom.  It is so out of hand that my sister has spent several hours already trying to control it and contain it to one room.  What can I say?  The creative mind is a messy one!

Please hop over to TBD and see what the other have created and play along.   Then stop by Simply Betty Stamps and get your very own Merkids.  Thanks for stopping by.
