Corrosive Challenges #234 - Halloween Bingo

Hi everyone.  It is time for another fantastic challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  Our theme this time around is Halloween Bingo.  You all know how to play bingo right?  Here is the bingo card you must use for the challenge.

The bingo set I used was spiders, free space & candy.  Our sponsor is Ppinkydolls and the prize is 3 digis.  Doesn't that make you want to enter?!  I was given this adorable image from Ppinkydolls to create my card with.  I knew right away that I wanted to do something with the candy background paper that I have had for years.  My niece had the idea to turn the polka dots on the dress into spiders.  So cute.

Please head over to Corrosive Challenges and see what the rest of the design team created for your inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

KennyK Challenge #203 - Give Thanks

Hi everyone.  It is time for a brand new challenge from KennyK's Krafty Krew.  Our theme this time around is Anything Goes with a Twist - Give Thanks.  Your project can be a thank you, appreciation or Thanksgiving project.  You win more digis if you incorporate the twist.  All the details are on the  KennyK's Krafty Krew blog.
I went with fall colors on mine.  I plan on giving it to someone that loves fall colors.  I am waiting for the glue to dry as I am typing this.  It is taking forever.  I am working on my procrastination but I think I am fighting a losing battle.  Here I am working at the last minute again.
I am very thankful for all the blessings I have been given.  Lately, I am focused on one little blessing that I can't seem to get enough of.  My niece and her husband moved close to me and I am addicted to their little baby.  She calls me Nana (even though I am her great aunt).  I love it because my husband and I only have feathered babies so we will never be grandparents.  Here is my sweet little Layla.
Couldn't you just eat her up?!
Please head over to the KennyK's Krafty Krewblog and get all the prize details and information.  The design team has created some beautiful projects for your inspiration.  Don't tell the rest of the team but I think Lucy blew us all away this time.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Hi everyone.  It is time for another fantastic challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  Our theme this time around is Head Shots.  All you have to do is use a head shot or close-up on your project.  Our sponsor is SLS Lines and the prize is 3 digis.  I am using an awesome image called Day of the Dead Calavera Girl digi.  Isn't she beautiful?!

I worked on this while spending the day with family.  If my mother were still alive, she would be so proud of us.  She always wanted us all to get along and take care of each other.  We all miss her dearly but at least we are enjoying each other like she wanted.

Corrosive Challenges #230 - Perfectly Purple

Welcome to another fabulous challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  I am the hostess this time around and I chose the challenge.  I call this one Perfectly Purple.  All you have to do is use purple.  So easy right?  Our sponsor is Art by Miran...awesome!!!  The prize is 3 digis...awesome!!!

I had a few issues.  First, I colored the wrong image for this challenge.  My apologies to Art by Miran for the mistake.  Second,  you really can't see all the dimension I added in the picture.  It's a shame.  Someday I will take photography classes.

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog for all the details and check out what the rest of team B has created for your inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Welcome to another fantastic challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  Our theme this time around is To Die For.  We ask that you use dies in your project.  Our sponsor is Oddball Art Stamps and the prize is 3 awesome digis.

For my card I used Creepy Cute Zombie Giraffe.  My niece and I recently went to the zoo.  She told me her favorite animal is a panda but her favorite zoo animal is a giraffe.  I thought I would use this image to make her birthday card.  She will be 11 next month.  I hope she likes it.

Corrosive Challenges #227-Leave a Little Sparkle

It time for another challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  This time we want you to Leave a Little Sparkle.  That means you can add glitter, gems, shiny things...anything that sparkles.  Our hostess this time around is Debora.  Our sponsor is A Day for Daisies which will be giving the winner a $12 gift voucher.  Fantastic right?

I chose to work with Star Flower Girl.  I have had this moon die for a while now and I was just dying to use it.  I fussy cut the image and sat her on the moon.  I popped the moon up on fun foam.

I added sparkle everywhere by using Tim Holtz's new Deco Sheets in silver.  I also added some star gems for a little somethin' somethin'.  I created the background using watercolor paper and Distress Inks.  That's my favorite part of the entire card.  I just couldn't find a designer paper that would work.  I was a bit disappointed with my sentiment and swirl.  It was an after thought and everything else was already stuck down so I had to work around it.  Someday I will learn to plan ahead.

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog to see what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Corrosive Challenges #226 - Pile it On!

It is time for another challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  This time we want you to Pile it On!  That means layers or embellishments or techniques.  Just give us the specifics in your blog post.  Easy peasy!!!

Our hostess this time around is our fearless leader Regan.  Our sponsor is Stamps by Aurora Wings.  If you are the lucky winner, you will receive a $15 gift voucher for Aurora Wings.  Just remember, you can't win if you don't play.

For my card, I piled on the layers and the pearls.  There are two layers on the base, four layers of matting under the mermaid and nine pearls.  That's a lot of pearls for me.  I was also able to use a few new items on this card.  I won a doily die a while back and never had a chance to use it.  I also used a new script die from Tim Holtz.  Believe it or not, that sucker cut through chipboard.  Fantastic!  I thought with a cheery sentiment this would be perfect for a friend.

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog and check out what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

KennyK Challenge #196-One for the Boys

Hi and welcome to a fabulous new challenge at
KENNYK
Normally you would be getting this post from Rebecca, however, her computer got stuck on Blogger so this is her sister Robin making her post.
The challenge is "Anything Goes with a Twist:  One for the Boys".  She made this card for a man she works with that is retiring.  Guy cards are always difficult ones because you want to embellish and that's not really a guy thing.  I think she did a wonderful job with this.  I see also she got to use a new stamp set she got when we went to the Mega Meet in Michigan.
So I hope you enjoy this and don't forget to check out all the amazing creations over on the challenge blog and don't forget to leave them all some love.

Corrosive Challenge #223 - Hip to be Square

Here, there and everywhere...hip, hip, so hip to be square.  Come on, sing with me and Huey Lewis.  The new challenge at Corrosive Challenges is Hip to be Square.  All you have to do is make a square project.  Our sponsor is Oddball Art and I was given this fantastic image to use.  The prize is 3 digis from Oddball Art.  You gotta love that.

Lately, all I seem to need are sympathy cards and get well cards.  I never seem to have enough of either.  My mother-in-law has a very close friend that is going through some really tough health issues.  I wanted to make this card for her friend.  I hope she likes it.

Sydney and I went up to the studio and worked for hours on this.  Actually, we cleaned the studio for quite a long time before we started crafting.  What a mess.  We started by cleaning Sydney's studio first.  Here is a pic of her clean studio.

She was very upset that I removed all the projects she had worked so hard to create.  I felt bad and gave her some paper scraps and she happily began to redecorate her studio.

She worked for a long time and then she was all tuckered out.  Poor baby.  She does love to craft.  Just like her mommy.  I took her back downstairs and put her in her big room so she could take a well deserved nap.

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog and check out what the rest of the design team created for your inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

Little Girl Craft Day

Hello everyone.  Today I'd like to show you a canvas I made that was inspired by one that Shari Carroll did for Simon Says Stamp.  I was looking for a Mother's Day project I could do with my nieces for their mother.  I did a quick sample for them and we spent 3 hours creating their projects.  My friend's daughter was with us as well and she created a canvas for her mother too.

The girls were troopers and did everything I showed them.  They were given creative freedom on their projects.  I just taught them how to use some of the products.  They really loved the texture paste and stencil.  We all did.

Here are some pictures of Cara, Cortlynn and Sarah and their projects.  Great job girls.

Here is a link to their blog.  Please drop by and give them some love.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day.
