THE REST OF THE GANG!

Back to School Betty

Mad Scientist Christian

Prom Queen Rio

And now for the rest of the Simply Betty bunch.  Isn't this just an awesome line?!  These cuties would work for so many different occasions.  I colored them all with Copics, again while watching TV.  I really need to stop doing that and concentrate.  It takes me so much longer than it should to get anything done.  The designer papers are all from my box-o'-scraps.  I used my MS Drippy Goo punch on the first two.  Nothing too fancy on these.  I wanted the images to be the stars.

Please stop over and check out all the details at Simply Betty Stamps.  I know you all want a chance to win one of today's newbies right? Then don't forget to leave a comment at Simply Betty or on our DT blogs.  You never know where Betty will go to pick the winner from... so why risk it.... leave some loving where you can!

Don't forget about our awesome challenges! You can find them at Simply Betty Challenges.  The more participants the more the prizes we will have to offer!
Thanks for stopping by.

GOING BACK TO SCHOOL WITH SIMPLY BETTY STAMPS

Artist London

Pile of Books Miller

Sporty Lola

It's another awesome Preview Day at Simply Betty Stamps.  Today we bring you Artist London, Pile of Books Miller and Sporty Lola.  Aren't they just super!!!!  I colored them all with Copics.  London is my favorite.  I kind of turned her into me.  I put a little Macaw on her canvas.  I have parrots and I thought they would like this.  I used generic papers and a swiss dot embossing folder on the London card.  I taped the easel down but popped London up with SU dimensionals.

For Miller, I used crayon paper from Reminisce.  I kept him nice and simple since I loved the paper so much.  Lola gave me a little grief.  Well, it was my fault, not her fault.  I tried to color her and watch TV at the same time.  I can usually do that with no problem but my niece Bianca and I were watching a marathon of Breaking In we had recorded.  We watched the entire season in one afternoon.  At least I finally finished Lola.

Please visit Simply Betty Stamps and check out what the rest of the design team has done and get all the new release details.  Tomorrow we will  have the rest of the images for you.  And don't forget to enter the current challenges at Simply Betty Challenges.  Thanks for stopping by.

Sketch Challenge at Simply Betty Challenges

It's a sketch challenge at Simply Betty Challenges today.  That means you can use any sketch from any challenge so the hard part will already be done for you.  I am using a sketch from Card Positioning Systems.  This is my first challenge with them.  I just found them online the other day.  They also have lots of prior sketches as well for those days when your mojo just isn't working.

I used the Evil Queen Rio image from Simply Betty Stamps.  I am sorry but she is just too darn cute to be evil.  This card is for my friend Mrs. Jones.  My husband picked out the image saying it was perfect for her.  I gave Rio blonde hair in honor of Mrs. Jones.  She is a Halloween nut so this Halloween image is perfect, as is the background paper.

I colored Rio with Copics (my marker of choice).  I added some MS Glitter Glue to her crown and mirror.  I used a Spellbinders die for the mat behind Rio and ran it through my BigShot with a Swiss Dots embossing folder for a little texture.  The cute little pumpkin is actually a button from Dress It Up.  The sentiment is from SU and the papers are from my still-not-empty-box-o'-scraps.

I hope you like it and Happy Birthday Mrs. Jones.  Thanks for stopping by.

Pirate Sneak Peek....Bonnie!

The Burtonesque Dolls are doing a Sneak Peek with the help of Simply Betty Stamps.  Who doesn't love a good looking pirate?!  We are starting out Bonnie.  She is the first in the Funky Punky Pirate Collection.  I colored her with Copics.  I was going for a pink/black abstract theme on this one.  I just love the pink skull and crossbones on the background paper.  I popped Bonnie up with some SU dimensionals.  The ribbon is generic from my "box-o-scraps".  Thanks to Alicia for taking the picture again for me.

I can't wait to show you the 5 other images in this Funky Punky Pirate Collection...but you will have to wait.  You will have to come back tomorrow to see the next one.  Please stop over at TBD and see what the rest of the dolls have created for you.

All About Christian

I am finally entering a challenge.  With all that has been going on personally and with the DTs that I am on, I have really been slacking on entering challenges.  I hopped over to Simply Betty Challenges (one of my favorites) and saw the details for this Christian challenge.  Christian is a digi available from Simply Betty Stamps.  There are at least four different Christians (I know this because I have four) and the challenge was to use Christian in your project.

The best part of this challenge is the prize.  One lucky winner (oh please be me!!!) will help them release the next line of images.
How sweet is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Simply Betty Challenges is where I entered my very first online challenge.  I am so psyched about this challenge.  I had several grand ideas but no time to finish them.  I finally sat down to get something put together.  I started with Bahumbug Christian and Christian Valentine.  I decided to have Cupid accidentally shooting Santa in the butt!!!!  Can you imagine?  I drew an arrow next to Santa's bottom.  I colored them both images with Copics.  I added a touch of MS glitter glue for sparkle.  I added liquid applique to Santa's beard and hat.  I kept the embellies simple since the background paper was so busy.  What do you think?

Wish me luck and thanks for stopping by!

NEW YEAR, NEW START BURTONESQUE DOLLS STYLE

We're Back!!!
So Sorry for the delay, but a few of the Dolls have been unwell, so we extended our
Christmas Break.

Here's this weeks Challenge
"New Year, New Start Burtonesque Dolls Style"

Create a card/project with a New Home or New Baby theme, but don't forget to add
that Burtonesque Twist.

I started with this wonderful image from Simply Betty Stamps.  I entered this in a challenge for Simply Betty Challenges.  The rules were to use black, white and either red or pink.  I whipped this up pretty quick so I could get it posted before bed.
I used generic cardstock and misc. scraps I had on hand.

That's it, nice and simple!  Please vist The Burtonesque Dolls and see what the
Design Team has created to inspire you.

Thanks for stopping by!

The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge...LET'S SKETCH!

I am so excited to announce that I made The Burtonesque Dolls Design Team!!!   Woooo Hoooo!!!!
This is my first official DT post.  Here goes....

It's a sketch this week for The Burtonesque Dolls challenge.
This week the Dolls have a great sketch created by Cheri over at Simply Betty Challenges, so grab your papers, embellies and images and leave the design to us.  Use this sketch as your inspiration and let loose.

Here's the best part, you get to do all the creative stuff since the design is done for you!!!  How fun is that?!
You are free to use any image you want but don't forget to add your Burtonesque style.

Here is mine:

My image is from Sassy Studio Designs and I colored it with Copics (of course).  I got the paper at Joann's.  My niece, Alicia, decided this should be pink and boy oh boy is it.  I can't wait to see what you come up with and please be sure to check out what the Design Team has created at TBD!
