SBS Commissions Release

Hi everyone.  I have an announcement to make.  I was on the Simply Betty Stamps design team a long time ago when she was first starting out.  I have now rejoined the team and I am so excited to be back.  As you know, Betty works fast and is always coming out with something great.

Every now and then Betty, from Simply Betty Stamps, opens up
Commissions for you to purchase.  A commission is something that is drawn up just for you with your idea, but her drawing style.. They are usually $45 but she does a special for $25 every once in a while. Here is the newest set of Commissions. Each person has given her permission to sell the image they commissioned. When they give permission to sell the image, they get the rest of that specific set for free.

I had so much fun coloring all of these images.  Believe it or not, there are even more than just the five here.  If you head over to the SBS blog, you can see gorgeous samples made by the fabulous design team.  And don't forget to head over to the SBS shop to get your own.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

Bianca and Jacintay

Here is a card using a new image from Saturated Canary and my new Tim Holtz hashtag stamp.  When I saw this image in the Saturated Canary store I had to have it and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.  It reminded me so much of my niece Bianca (aka Alicia) and her friend Jacintay.  Here is a picture of them on their way to the prom a few weeks ago.

I tried to make it look like them and I think I succeeded.  I hope you all like it as much as I do.  Thanks for stopping by.

KennyK Challenge #172 - Male

It's the 15th and that means another challenge from KennyK's Krafty Krew.  We are doing the usual Anything Goes with a Twist...Male.  That means you can win more digis if your project is made for a guy.  Simple right?

I tried to stretch myself a bit this time.  I don't usually do steampunk but I love this image and wanted to try.  I think I need a bit more practice.  My sister thought it was great.  Thanks Robin.  I am not sure who I will give this one to though.  Maybe Jared Padalecki.

Before I go, I just wanted to tell you all that I went to the Michigan Mega Meet last week.  I am in Ohio but my cousin, Candy, lives in Michigan.  My sister, Robin, and I drove up to meet with Candy and had a wonderful time.  We shopped and met Tim Holtz.  He was so nice.  I have pictures.  I will share them later.  Candy also took us to Frankenmuth and we toured the largest Christmas store in the country.  They claim to have every type of ornament but unfortunately, they did not have a Bon Jovi ornament.  Sorry Regan, I tried.  Now I am back home and broke but I bought a lot of great dies you will see in the future.

Please head over to KennyK's Krafty Krew and check out all the other projects made by our awesome design team.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Corrosive Challenge #199 - Banner Day

Hello everyone.  It is time once again for another Corrosive Challenges challenge!!!  This time around our challenge is Banner Day.  You must use a banner somewhere on your project to participate.  We are sponsored by Sami Stamps and the prize is a $12 gift certificate.

Sami Stamps graciously gave me this image to create some inspiration for you.  This one gave me a little grief but it was my own fault.  I tried doing a background and I really didn't like it when I was finished.  That meant I had to cut her out.  I usually do that anyway because I like the way images look when they are fussy cut and popped up.

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenge blog and check out what the rest of the design team created with awesome stamps from Sami Stamps.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

Corrosive Challenges #198 - Head Gear

Welcome to another fabulous challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  We are sponsored by Dilly Beans and the challenge is Head Gear.  All you need to do is make a project with an image that has something on its head...hat, bow barrette, etc.  The prize is 3 digis from Dilly Beans.

I colored this sweet little Dilly Beans Mermaid with Copics, cut her out and popped her up with SU dimensionals.  I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen along with some other WOS glitter pens on various parts of the mermaid.  I also used a lot of Glossy Accents on her.  The paper is from Graphic 45 and I used a cool bubble embossing folder behind the mermaid.  I heat embossed the sentiment.

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog and check out what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by.

Card from Candy

Hello everyone.  I just wanted to show you what came in the mail.  I got a card from my fabulous cousin Candy!!  Here it is:

Isn't it adorable?  But that's not all I got.  Candy just opened her own craft supplies store.  You can find it here.  She also has a blog here which has a link to her store on the side.  She is just getting going and I hope she grows quickly.  Look what I got from her store:

I can't wait to start using these wood sheets.  They are so cool.  If anyone has an idea for me, please leave a comment and I will give it a try.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

KennyK's Challenge #170 - Stars

Hello everyone.  We are seeing Stars over at KennyK's Krafy Krew.  Our new challenge is Anything Goes with a Twist...Stars.  If you incorporate the twist, you win more digis!!!  Woot woot!!!  I am using Sweet Melissa from KennyK for my project.  She reminds me of my niece.  (If any of my nieces are reading this, please leave a comment guessing which one of you this is.)

I used a variety of star dies to make this.  Unfortunately, I was too lazy to write it all down so I could add it to my post.  I also used star gems from Darice.  The paper is from Bo Bunny & Basic Grey.  I colored with Copics.  The ribbon was part of a cheap pack from the dollar store.  I used Glossy accents and my Wink of Stella glitter pen (my new love).

We hope that you will join us for this challenge.  First, head over to KennyK's Krafty Krew and check out what the rest of the design team has created for you.  All the details are posted there for you. Happy creating.

Corrosive Challenge #197 - Pretty Pastels

Hello everyone.  It is time for another Corrosive Challenges challenge...Pretty Pastels.  This sucker was really difficult for me.  I am not a pastel fan. I love deep, rich color.  My little sweet baby Sydney headed up to the studio to give me support while I tried to struggle through this one.  Happily, I survived and am pretty pleased with the result.

Our sponsor this time around is:

I colored with Copics and used Stampin Up paper, McGill punch, Sizzix oval die, Anna Griffin embossing folder & gems.  I am pooped so this is going to be a short post.  Please head over to Corrosive Challenges and check out what the rest of the design team created for your inspiration.

Corrosive Challenge #196 - Show Us Your Metal

Hello everyone.  It is time for a new Corrosive Challenges challenge.  This time we want you to Show Us Your Metal!  Our sponsor is:

I love love love Delicious Doodles.  They have something for everyone.  I prefer the ones with a bit of a darker side to them.  I am using Gothicka.  I colored her with Copics and cut her out.  If you look closely, I layered up several different parts of the image with SU dimensionals.  I also used several different types of glitter pens on the image.  This sucker took forever to color but I enjoyed every minute of it.  I just wish my photography skills were better.  There is so much shimmer and shine to this card but it didn't come through on the photo.  I wish I lived closer to Kathy so she could take pictures for me.  She knows I love her pics.

Now please head over to Corrosive Challenges and see what my fabulous teammates created for your inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

Challenge #194 for Corrosive Challenges

Hi everyone.  I am back with another challenge for Corrosive Challenges.  Our current challenge is Animals.  All you need to do to participate is to create a project featuring and animal.

Sponsor:  Meljen's Designs
Prize:  4 (non-colored) Digis

I know this project isn't really me.  I think my mojo is on vacation.  I am trying desperately to get it back as it has been missing for weeks.  My sister is just kicking my but lately in the craft department and I just can't have that continue.  (A little sibling rivalry is good right?)  She is the oldest so I have to win at something.  Did I mention I am also the middle child?  Am I gaining any sympathy from you guys?

Ok, enough whining from me.  Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog and check out what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.
