2 Sisters Color Challenge

Good morning everyone.  Today, 2 Sisters Challenge is sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps.  The challenge this week is a color challenge.  You must make your project using the following colors:

Now you don't have to use these exact colors, but come as close as you can.  I love color challenges.  It amazes me how different all the projects end up being, even though we are all using the same colors.  I used Chains of Love from Stitchy Bear for this challenge.  I colored her with Copics and popped her up.  I used more paper from my box-o'-scraps.  I hope to have this box empty soon!

Please hop over to 2 Sisters and check out what the rest of the design team has done for your inspiration.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.

Silhouettes at 2 Sisters

This week at 2 Sisters Challenge we are doing Silhouettes.  We are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps.  We were given beautiful silhouettes to work with.  I am using Reach.  Isn't she beautiful?!  I love fairies.  I am normally all about the coloring but this was a surprisingly nice change for me.

The background is just a white piece of cardstock that I embossed and inked.  The sentiment is a leftover rub-on I found in my drawer.  This was a quick one for me but I wanted the silhouette to be the star.

Please stop over and check out what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by!

Distressing.......

Thank goodness my photographer was available today!  My last picture didn't come out very good.  This week 2 Sisters Challenge is sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps and One Stop Card Crafts.  The challenge is to make a distressed project.  I started with this beautiful dragon image from Stitchy Bear Stamps called Guarding the Egg.  I colored the dragon with Copic markers and added some glitter here and there.  I put crystal laquer on the egg for a little shine.

Next, I got out my Tim Holtz distressing tool and attacked my paper with it.  I then distressed it further with a little SU Creamy Caramel ink.  I used an EK border punch and added ribbon.  I am a big Harry Potter fan so I loved doing this image.  I love the scene where Fred and George are rooting for the dragon instead of Harry.

Please stop over at 2 Sisters and check out what the rest of the Design Team created for your inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by!

Get Well Wishes

Today at 2 Sisters Challenge we are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps.
The design team was given several adorable images to choose from to create the inspiration projects.  I chose to use Feeling Low Elephant.  Isn't he just the cutest little thing?  I colored him with Copics and popped up his head, table and footboard with SU dimensionals.  I used more scrap papers and a great little strip of ribbon.

I have someone in mind for this card.  He is going through a really rough time.  I hope this helps him even if it is just for a second or two.

Thanks for stopping by!

Raggedy Ann and Andy

It's a sketch challenge this week at 2 Sisters Challenge.  Our sponsor is Stichy Bear Stamps and the Design Team was given several amazing digital images to choose from.  They also gave us digi gingham paper to use.  We ask you to use this amazing layout by our own Annette:

Since Annette did all the hard work for us, I just concentrated on the fun part.....coloring.  I LOVE to color.  I chose this image of Raggedy Ann and Andy.  I have always wondered, are they brother and sister?  Boyfriend and girlfriend?  Just friends?  I don't know but I do know they are cute together.  I colored them with Copic markers.  I added just a touch of glitter here and there to make them pop.  I cut out the frame with Nesties and popped it up with SU dimensionals. The paper I used was generic.  The dashed lines are done with a Signo pen.  I used a new EK punch to do the swirl and flower in the red layer.

I really love the way this one came out.  I know I keep saying I will learn to take better pictures and I really will eventually.  The really good ones just don't translate well online for me.

Thanks for stopping by.

THE WORLD IS OUR OYSTER

This week at 2 Sisters Challenge we are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps and Pizzazz Aplenty.
The challenge is to use pearls in your design.  I started with this amazing chef digi from Stitchy Bear.  He reminds me of a chef I have loved for most of my adult life (shhhhhhh, don't tell my husband).  I colored him with Copic markers and added dimension to the hat, heart and spatula.  Unfortunately, I still can't take a good picture so you can't tell.  I cut the mat behind him out with a nestie.  I dug into my "box o'scraps" for the background paper.  The other paper is just generic from Archiver's.

For the pearl portion of the challenge I used some small chocolate pearls I got from Pizzazz Aplenty in all four corners.  I also added a chocolate pearl brad in the middle of the bow.  I never plan my sentiments ahead of time but that is something on plan on doing in the future.  As you can see, my sentiment is partially covered by my chef's mat.

I did not have extra time to research challenges so I haven't entered this little guy in any this week.  I think that is something I need to work on in the future as well.

Please stop by 2 Sisters and check out what the rest of the design team has
created and thanks for stopping by.

2 SISTERS CHALLENGE......Thinking of You

I am so pleased to announce that I am now a member of the 2 Sisters Challenge Design Team.  The challenge this week is to make a Thinking of You card.  Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Stamps.

The image I used is called Flower Fairy and she is just adorable.  The background paper is from Purple Panda and has also been used on the bodice piece.  Unfortunately, I was a little pressed for time so I tried to keep it simple.  I added a few silk flowers and a button.  I hope you like it.

Please see 2 Sisters Challenge for all the details.  We are asking that these cards be mailed to Stacy Walker who will send them to patients at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston.  We hope you will participate.

Thanks for stopping by.
