Lorna Loch & Nessie

Hi everyone.  I have another great Simply B Stamps preview for you.  This is Lorna Loch & Nessie.  Isn't she cool?  I had such a great time coloring this.  I used Copics (of course).  I put my crafting tiara on, turned on Dancing with the Stars and got to work.

The background paper is from Graphic 45.  It has beautiful fish all through it.  Unfortunately, I covered them all up.  The ovals are from Spellbinders as are the flourishes.  I used a wave border punch for the bottom and added some white pen to the tips of the waves.

I must say the coloring is my favorite part.  It takes me so long to figure out what to do with it once I am finished.  I finally got my flying babies to stop stealing my markers as I color.  Now they just want to sit on my head while I work.  Then they fight over who gets to be up there and who gets to chew the tiara.  That's when everyone has to go to bed.  We will be doing it all again tonight.  I have cards due all week.  Sydney will have lots of paper scraps to chew on this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to enter for a chance at my blog candy.  The time is drawing near.

Alice

Simply B Stamps can't have a Wonderland Collection without an Alice now can they?!  Here she is, Miss Alice herself.  I looked just like this when I was little and so did my sister Rhonda, yellow hair and all but my eyes are hazel.  Funny because my brother and sister Robin both have red hair.

I colored Alice with Copics.  I have been trying to tweak my techniques as I have been asked to do some video tutorials.  I really like the way her face came out.  I still need a bit of practice though.  I work with some amazing ladies whose coloring blows my socks off.  See...naked feet.

The main background paper is from Jazzy Pattern's Wonderland collection.  The checkerboard paper is actually from a Twilight paper pack.  You know I love Twilight!!!  I ran the gold piece through my BigShot with a Tim Holtz Pocket Watch folder.  Does anyone have trouble with the TH embossing folders?  They give a really deep impression, which is awesome, but sometimes it is too deep.  I rip a lot of paper with his folders.  I again made this one 5x7 so I could frame the entire set and I did it all with my crafting tiara atop my head.

I don't know if you can see in the picture but Alice, the potion bottle, the watch and the playing cards on the bottom are all popped up.  I don't think it came through well on the picture.  Please head over to SBS and see what the others have created with this fabulous image.  Then come back tomorrow, we will not only be previewing the final image but we will be having a blog hop as well.  Hope to see you then.

Off With Her Head

Here comes another fabulous Simply B Stamps Wonderland Chibi.  Today we bring you the Queen of Hearts/Red Queen.  Isn't she awesome?!  I had so much fun coloring this one.  I think the tiara really helped me out this time.

I colored my queen with Copics.  She was cut apart and her head and flamingo are both popped up.  I was too lazy to go get my SU dimensionals so I used some pop dots from Darice.  They are a little thicker than I like but as I said, I was too lazy to go upstairs tonight.  The background paper is from the Jazzy Patterns Wonderland collection.  I used my Tim Holtz Poker Face embossing folder for the playing card.  It really makes a deep impression...almost too deep.  I had to do it 3 times before I got one that didn't split apart.  I used gold Rub 'n Buff on it.  It was the first time I tried it so it is a bit heavy in places.

This collection has been so much fun to work with.  We have 2 more to go after this one so make sure you check us out tomorrow.  Also, please head over to SBS to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

The White Queen

Welcome to Day #2 of the Simply B Stamps Wonderland Chibis.  Today is the White Queen.  I have a confession to make.  Bianca (aka Alicia, my niece, her blog link is on my sidebar) and I bought tiaras to wear while we craft.  So with my tiara on, I tackled the White Queen.

I colored the Queen with Copics.  I got a little heavy handed with the gold.  I love gold!  So to tone it down I added a chunky white glitter from Darice to her dress and then crystal fine glitter from Martha on her hair.  I used my new QuicKutz doily rectangle again.  I really love it.  The background paper is digital from Jazzy Patterns.  I just discovered JP.  Great stuff.  I used Tim Hotz Pocket Watches embossing folder for the section directly behind the Queen.

I still feel like something is missing.  I am sure I will run across the perfect embellishment at some point and I will add it then.  Right now, I am not sure what I want to add.  FYI, the tiara is still on while I post.  Please hop over to SBS and see what the other DT members have created and come back tomorrow for some furry (hint, hint) fun.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Welcome to Wonderland

Simply B Stamps is taking us to Wonderland this week.  We will be previewing some amazing images this week and will be releasing them on day 6.  All you Alice fans will be so pleased with this set.  I know I love it!

Today, I am proud to bring you Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.  This was another one that was difficult to photograph.  First of all, I am still using my camera phone because I haven't mastered my new camera yet.  Secondly, the background gave my camera grief while trying to focus.  There is a lot of shading on the faces but you can't see it too well.  I guess I will have to lock myself up for a day and learn the new camera.

The background papers are from Graphic 45.  I wish that I had purchased the entire set.  I only bought a few pages and now they are all gone...so sad :(   I colored the Tweedles with Copic markers and cut them out.  They are popped up with SU dimensionals.  I made a tiny boo boo between their feet.  I forgot to cut a little piece out and now it is too late.  Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?  It has already been attached permanently.  I would appreciate any ideas you have as it is driving me nuts.  Which honestly didn't take much.  I live on the edge of nuts most of the time.

Please head over to SBS and check out what the rest of the Design Team has created.  We will have more tomorrow.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Release Day with Betty Munster

Release day for Simply B Stamps has finally arrived!  Whoot Whoot!!!!  The last image left to show you is Betty Munster.  I love love love this image.  I colored her with Copics, cut her out and popped her up with SU dimensionals.  I used more of the DCWV La Creme paper stack that I have been making my current mini album with.  This will be the top part of a waterfall flip section in my book.  I have managed to use each of the 7 images this week in my book.  That was my goal.

Please head over to Simply B Stamps and check out what the rest of the design team has created.  Betty has some specials listed so make sure you read everything so you can save when you order your images.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Chris Munster

Here is Chris Munster from Simply B Stamps.  As you know, Betty likes to do images of her family as different characters.  Today, she turned her hubby Chris into Herman Munster.  So cute.  I colored Chris with copics and added him to this cute little bag I found at the craft store.  I dressed the bag up with papers from DCWV and added a tag inside the bag.  This will be another entry into my current scrapbook.  This new release from Simply B Stamps has given me quite a few things for my scrapbook this week.  It is still far from finished but closer everyday.

Please hop over to SBS and see what the others have done with Chris Munster.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Rio!!!

Welcome back for another awesome preview from Simply B Stamps.  If you came here from the amazing Lelia's blog you are headed in the right direction.  Today is an extra special preview.  This image is Birthday Rio and she is named after Betty's daughter Rio.  Today is Rio's actual birthday so Simply B Stamps is holding a blog hop in Miss Rio's honor.  Happy Birthday Rio!

I colored Birthday Rio with Copics.  I added some glitter glue here and there plus some Diamond Glaze on her glasses.  The ribbon is generic.  I also used MS around the page punches.

Please leave Miss Rio birthday wishes on the Simply B Stamps blog.  I believe she turned 14 today and she is the pride and joy of our Queen Betty.  Your next stop is the super talented Suzi.  Here is the entire hop order in case you stumbled upon this hop accidentally.

Miller Munster

Today Simply B Stamps brings you Miller Munster.  Miller has taken on the persona of Eddie Munster.  I colored him with Copics and added him to a flap in my current scrapbook.  I will be going back and embellishing this more later after I finish the basics of the pages.  I am loving the way it is headed so far.  I wasn't sure these elegant papers would go well with such fun images but I think they balance each other out.  Once the rest of the embellies get on the pages, it should be really nice.

Please head over to Simply B Stamps and check out what the rest of the design team has created.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Confetti London

We have another fabulous preview today.  This is Confetti London from Simply B Stamps.  She looks like she is having a lot of fun.  I cut the image down a bit to fit on my scrapbook page.  I still have some more embellishing to do after I get the book together.  I may have colored this a bit too bright but the extra embellies I put on later will bring it all together I think (I hope).

I used Copics to color London and all the papers are from DCWV.  It is a beautiful pack called La Creme.  As I said the other day, it was my mother's favorite pack of paper.  I hope this mini album will be gorgeous when I am finished.

Please head over to Simply B Stamps to see what the rest of the design team has created.  Thanks for stopping by.

Party Lola

Day 2 from Simply B Stamps brings us Party Lola.  She is absolutely adorable.  I started a new mini album yesterday and I plan on putting all of the images from this new SBS release in my book.  I am trying to go out of my comfort zone a bit.  I usually make my colors as intense as possible.  I thought I would try to make Lola a bit softer and use some pastel shades.  I think she came out pretty good but I do miss the bright colors.

Here is a close up of Lola.

You can't really see it well but there is a bow next to her that matches the paper under her.  It doesn't blend in this much when you see it in person.  Please head over to Simply B Stamps and see what the others have created.  Keep coming back.  We have previews all week just before the release.

Thanks for stopping by.

My Funky Valentine

Please say hello to My Funky Valentine Betty from Simply B Stamps.  I am normally all for bright bold colors but this time I think I should have gone a bit softer.  But you know me, I just can't stop myself.  Put a Copic marker in my hand and I just color and color.  The more intense, the more I like it (usually).  Betty just seems a bit too girly and should have been softer.  I am sure I will use this image again so I will try to contain myself next time.

We have one more Teen Scene Valentine Steampunk left to show you and that will happen tomorrow.  Please make sure you don't miss it.  We will also have a special image to show you.  I am not giving you any hints at all as to what the image will be.  You will just have to come back and find out.

Please hop over to SBS and see what the others have created with Betty.  Thanks for stopping by.

Hearts-a-Flutter

Welcome back.  Here is another fabulous preview from Simply B Stamps.  Today's preview is My Heart's a Flutter Christian.  I am so loving his green hair!  This is going to be a quick post for me.  I am a little behind schedule today.  I took time out of my evening to watch The Biggest Loser.  I have never seen it before and my bestie loves it so I thought I would give it a try.  I didn't realize it was two hours long.

Anyway,  I colored Christian with Copics, cut him out and popped him up.  The ribbon is generic and I used an EK punch for the ribbon holes.  The gear is from Tim Holtz.  The background paper is foil with some green Staz On rubbed over it.

Please hop over to SBS and see what the others have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

More Steampunk Love

Hi everyone.  I am back with another fabulous preview from Simply B Stamps.  This is A Heart for you Rio.  Isn't she cute?!  This is my favorite one in the new Teen Scene Valentine Steampunk line.  The reason you ask.  Well, because of the bird on top of her head!  If you follow my blog you know that I have 5 parrots.  I am all about the birdies!!!!

I colored Rio with Copics.  I colored her bird to match one of my babies.  His name is Ferguson and he is a Blue & Gold Macaw.

Isn't he handsome?  Of course he is too large to be hanging out on heads but he is beautiful.  I do have an African Grey who loves to sit on heads.  She grabs the hair and rides your head like a bull.  She is so funny when she does it.  Whenever someone new comes over, she jumps right on their heads to check them out.

Back to the crafting.  I used Tim Holtz gears and some screw brads on this card.  The background paper is a thin sheet of copper paper that I glued to another piece of paper.  Then I ran it through my BigShot in an embossing folder.  I added Diamond Glaze to Rio's glasses to make them look real.  I love using it but I have a terrible time with the tip clogging.

I had a great time working on Rio.  Please head over to SBS and see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  They are amazing.  Then come back tomorrow.  We have previews all week.

Thanks for stopping by.

Here Kitty Kitty

This is Kitty Love London from Simply B Stamps.  She is the second Teen Scene Valentine Steampunk preview we have for you.  Isn't she beautiful.  I was lucky enough to spend Friday night with Bianca.  She is one of my nieces.  We had a lovely evening watching a marathon of The Secret Circle.  I started coloring London and Bianca said "I am really feeling blue hair for her".  I thought it was a great idea so I gave London blue hair.

I colored this with Copics.  I tried to give the kitty a textured look but I don't think I pulled it off.  I will keep practicing.  I like to make A2 cards whenever possible.  This image is quite large but I managed to fit it on an A2 but that didn't leave room for much else.  After looking at the finished product, I don't really think it needs anything else.  Each new London image makes me think of my niece Grace.  That is why I chose to make the sides of her dress open.  Grace likes to dress sexy.  When you've got it, flaunt it...right?

Please hop over to SBS and check out what the others have created.  They are so awesome.  Then don't forget to come back tomorrow for the next one.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy New Year!!!!!

Happy New Year everyone!  We have a great way to start off the year.  Simply B Stamps is unveiling a brand new release called Teen Scene Valentine Steampunks.  The previews start today with

Box of Chocolates Miller.

Isn't he a doll?  I colored him with Copics.  The background paper is from Core'dinations.  I ran it through an embossing folder, sanded it and then added some ink.  I love the gears on his hat and tie.  I added a "working" gear from Tim Holtz.  I doubled up the pieces and used a screw brad to hold them together.  Then I popped it up with SU dimensional so you can actually spin it around.

We will have another preview from Simply B Stamps tomorrow.  I know you won't want to miss it.  But before you go, please hop over to SBS and check out what the other Design Team members have created.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
