Hit the Bottle

Welcome to another fabulous Corrosive Challenge.  This challenge is called Hit the Bottle.  That means you will need to add things to your project that come from a bottle.  We are sponsored by Dilly Beans Stamps.  They are super fun and quirky!

My image is called Wilma I. Ball.  Isn't that funny?!  I colored Wilma with Copics.  For my "bottle" touches I used Viva Glass Effects.  It really looked cool as it was drying until my image got warped from using too much.  I also used a Viva glitter glue on her eyelid.  You can't go out without sparkly eye shadow right?  I really like the Viva so much better than Martha Stewart glitter glue.  Martha's glue glitter clogs on me all the time.  I like Stickles as well.  I really wish I could get my money back from Martha.  The background paper is from DCWV.

I will be sending this to my sister Rhonda.  She recently had to get shots in her eyes.  She hates needles (which is funny because she is a nurse) and had to be held down as she was awake when then poked her eyes.  I hope she likes it.  I am actually at her house right now visiting.  Her daughter's wedding shower was today so Bianca and I made the trip to Kentucky.

Please head over to CC and check out what the others have done.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Heavy Metal

We are back for another awesome Corrosive Challenge.  This challenge is called Heavy Metal and we are sponsored by Dilly Beans.  This is my first experience with Dilly Beans.  I was given this funky image called Framed Friday with Skull and I was asked to make a project using one or more metal embellishments.

I spent the day watching my little friend Sarah ice skate in her first program.  She did wonderful!!! She was dressed as a pirate, eye patch and all.  It was lots of fun watching her and all the kids and it filled me with inspiration for this project.  The costumes in the program ranged from dark pirates to dayglow green, pink and blue.  It looked like they were channeling Katy Perry, wigs and all so I thought I would go for some deep, bright colors.

I colored my image with Copics.  I had the Doodle Bug background paper left over from another card.  I thought it was perfect since it had polka dots and so did the image.  For my heavy metal, I used a thin piece of copper.  I ran it through my BigShot with an embossing folder.  I placed it between the image and the background paper.  I also used copper eyelets.  The ribbon is from Martha Stewart.  I got it during a 50% off sale at Pat Catan's.  I don't usually buy anything MS without it being on sale.  I think the prices are just ridiculous.

Please head over to Corrosive Challenges and see what the other Design Team members have done.  They are so awesome!  Then join in won't you?

Thanks for stopping by.

CC - Give Piece a Chance

Welcome to another Corrosive Challenge.  This month we are sponsored by the amazing Sassy Studio Designs od which I have the privilege of serving on the DT well as on Corrosive Challenges.  The current challenge is Give Piece a Chance.  We are asking you to paper piece (wooo hoo) on your project.

I started with this fabulous leprechaun from SSD.  I colored her with copics except for her hat and suit.  I used a freebie digital paper from DSE for her suit.  The strip on the right side is more of the DSE paper.  The beautiful background paper is from Doodle Panty.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the shamrock is from Darice.

I am pleased with the card but I must admit I procrastinated (again) and waited until the last minute to work on this.  I had a wonderful day with my 3 favorite little girls...Cortlynn, Cara & Sarah.  I have been blessed with lots of nieces and I just love spending time with them.  Their ages are 10, 7 & 6.  We spent the day together crafting.  I got them some cardboard houses and we decorated them with patterned paper and embellies.  They had so much fun and so did I.  It was worth putting my project on the back burner for a few hours.

Anyway, please head over to Corrosive Challenges and see what the rest of the design team has created and please join in.  Paper piecing is fun and gives a beautiful coherency to your projects.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Dimensional Tiddly Inks - Corrosive Challenge #143

Welcome to another awesome Corrosive Challenge Blog challenge.  We are sponsored by Tiddly Inks and the challenge is Another Dimension.  We would like you to add dimension to your project.  This was an easy one for me.  I just about always lift something up somewhere on everything I make.  I love the way it looks.

I started with Cave Folks from Tiddly Inks.  I colored both images with Copics.  I did the female on X-Press paper and the male on shrinky dink paper.  I cut the female out and popped her up with SU dimensionals.  I cut the male out along with a bone and shrank them.  I added jump rings and hung them off the bow.  The background paper is actually some left over tissue paper.  The rest of the paper is generic, as is the ribbon.

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has done for your inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by.

Love Bites!

This is my kind of challenge.  The Corrosive Challenge is sponsored by Tiddly Inks for this "Love Bites" challenge.  We ask that you create whatever Love Bites means to you.  Being the vampire lover that I am, I went literal with this challenge.  I am using Vamp Me from Tiddly Inks.  Isn't this an awesome image?

I colored Vamp Me with Copics.  The background paper is from Stampin' Up.  The heart die cuts were made using an embosslit from SU.  This card is perfect for most of the women in my family.  We are all True Blood & Twilight fans.  I am not sure who I will send this too though.  I will have to put some real thought into it.

Please head over to The Corrosive Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  Then join in the challenge.  This is a fun one!

Thanks for stopping by.

I {heart} you!!!!

Welcome.  Today we bring you another fabulous Corrosive Challenge called I {heart} you.  All we ask is that you use hearts on your project.  Our sponsor this month is Kenny K Downloads...AWESOME!  Tons and tons of amazing images to choose from there.  I am using Lil' Angel and Devil.  They are sooooo stinkin' cute!

I colored these cuties with Copics.  I added some glitter all over.  I used a new Stampin' Up die to cut and emboss  the hearts.  The designer paper is from Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye.  I made my card while watching television with my hubby.  I keep some of my supplies in the living room.  I wanted to distress all the pieces on this but I was too lazy to go upstairs and get some ink.  Now that it is finished, I wish I would have done it.  It really needs some definition.  My skin is still acting up and my thumb bled on two lengths of ribbon.  Luckily, I was able to actually get a bow done without blood on it.  Oh these winter hands!

Please head over to The Corrosive Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has created for inspiration and then join us in the challenge.  Thanks for stopping by.

My First Corrosive Challenge Post

Today, I am officially a Design Team Member for The Corrosive Challenge Blog and I am excited to tell you about our first challenge for 2012...Ringing in the New Year!  The challenge is to use something new on your project.  We are sponsored by Kenny K Downloads (one of my  personal favorites).

I am using this fabulous image from Kenny K called J-Cool.  I wanted to try doing African American skin tones.  I think I did pretty good.  I thought J-Cool was perfect for Ringing in the New Year.  He is all blinged out and ready to go.  I colored him with Copics, cut him out and popped him up with SU dimensionals.  In addition to using a "new" image, I used "new" background paper.  It is called POW glitter paper.  I found it at Pat Catan's.  It was a little hard to work with but very beautiful.  It kept rolling itself up.  Unfortunately, the picture doesn't do it justice.  My other "new" item is the cute music notes.  They are from Jolee and I bought them specifically for this card.  I feel like J-Cool  is a budding music mogul and a party guy.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Please hop on over to The Corrosive Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created for your inspiration.  Then join in the challenge.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.
