Hello everyone. This week's Simply Betty Challenges challenge was to create a Halloween project without using traditional Halloween colors...no black, orange, purple or green. Being a green lover made this a difficult one for me. I think EVERYTHING should be green. I looked around for inspiration and decided to use blue and gold in honor of my very handsome blue and gold macaw, Ferguson.
The picture doesn't do Ferguson justice. His colors are sooooooooooo vibrant and amazing. I couldn't get the scanner to work tonight so unfortunately, the vibrant colors I used for the card don't show up very well either.
I used Simply Betty's Christian vamp digi and colored him in all blue using Copic markers. I don't think you can see very well in the picture but he is dimensional. I also used Azure Smooch on his cape for a little gloss. The haunted house is from SU as well as the sentiment. I heat embossed the house with a deep blue. I also used a Martha Stewart goo punch for the border. SU inks were used all over the background.
I hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog and hope that you will return in the future.
