Hi everyone. Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the new challenge over at Craftymess. The challenge is Vintage Paris. This is the perfect challenge for the SSD fans as a new French image called France Honey was released last month. I decided to make this card do double duty for me. This is my SSD assignment and my sister Robin's birthday card. Her birthday isn't until the 10th but Happy Birthday Robin.
I started out by coloring my image. I have tried to make the card first several times but it just doesn't work for me. I colored France Honey with Copics, cut her out and popped her up with SU dimensionals. Her hair is red because Robin's hair is red. Speaking of red hair, my niece Kennedie has...wait, had the most beautiful red hair I have ever seen and she keeps coloring it dark brown. I know teenagers go through these stages but come on already Kennedie. Let the red come back please.
I printed the Eiffel Tower from the internet and attached it to my card base. The next step was to cut out my window. I used a die from Spellbinders and Our Daily Bread. After that, I flipped my designer paper over and traced the inside of the window, then cut it out so you could see through my window. I popped it up on the background with SU dimensionals. The curtains were part of the die set as well. I added a little twine from Doodlebug because I felt the red was too plain. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
I hope you like it and I hope Robin does too. Make sure you check out the challenge at Craftymess and check the SSD blog also to see some more inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by.
