Corrosive Challenge #148

Welcome to another fabulous challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  This challenge is called:

The Man, the Myth, the Legend - Tim Holtz

Our sponsor is the awesome Tickled Pink Stamps!

My image from Tickled Pink is Lil Allsorts Kira.  My Tim Holtz element is the wood grain background.  I used Tim's wood grain embossing folder and added some ink.  A while back I went to a stamp show he was at.  I tried to get close and his fans were so aggresive.  They kept pushing me out of the way.  I am height challenged and these 6 foot tall ladies kept getting in front of me and they were just not nice.

Since I was going with the wood background I decided to make Kira a wood nymph.  I colored her green for the forest.  The leaf flourish is from Cheery Lynn.  I got the butterflies at a show a couple of years ago.  I don't have the packaging any more and I can't remember the name of the company.  I added glitter to her wings for some sparkle.  A fairy needs sparkle.

I did rush a bit here.  I spent all day at Adventures in Stamping.  I went with my sister, my niece and my friend.  I don't know about them but I had an amazing time.  I spent way too much money and I enjoyed every minute of it!

Please head over to Corrosive Challenges and see what the others have created for your inspiration and join in.  We would love to see all your favorite Tim Holtz products.  Thanks for stopping by.

Ooo, Rebecca! I love Kira the Wood Nymph! That is an awesome idea with the wood grain embossing folder! Your coloring is impeccable! It certainly doesn't show that you were rushed! I'm glad you had fun at the crafting convention this weekend and I can't wait to hear about all your fabulous purchases! Sorry about the Tim Holtz experience... It's sad to think that there is such bad behavior in our crafty community.

Fabulous card. She's a beautiful wood nymph. BTW your sister and your niece had a fabulous time. I spent too much money too but wouldn't change it for the world. We love spending time with Aunt Beck!

That embossing folder is really cool, it's a perfect background for a lovely wood nymph. The green swirls and butterflies are a perfect addition. Definitely does not look like a rush job to me!
