KennyK Challenge #188, LOVE


We have another great challenge from KennyK's Krafty Krew.  It is the usual drill...Anything Goes with a Twist.  The Twist this time is Love.  All you need is love, right?!  Annette is our hostess for this round and she has all the details on the Krew's blog.  

Here are the basics:

You must use a KennyK image to qualify.
If you are chosen randomly as the winner you will get 3 KennyK images of your choosing.
If you incorporated the twist, you will get 2 more images.
The Krew will pick the top 3 and each of them will get 1 image.

I decided to use Hug since it is the perfect image to use for a Love challenge.  I also thought I would use this card for my Family Fun Challenge and add some sequins.  The details are here.  I made a little shaker heart because that was all I could think of to do with the sequins.  I am sequin challenged.

Happy Birthday Elena!

Family Fun Challenge

Hello everyone.  I just wanted to take a moment to have a little bit of family fun.  My goal this year is to learn new techniques and use products I have never used.  I also want to challenge myself to use things I don't particularly care for and learn to love them.

I chose something I struggle with for my first challenge:

Sequins

I don't get the appeal and I just don't care for them, but I hope to by the time this challenge is over.

Now, for the family fun part.  I am challenging my sister, Robin (Robin's Reflections) and cousin Candy (Candy Scraps) to join me on this journey.  Ladies, I have sent packets of sequins to both of you.  I challenge you to use them in at least two projects to help me learn to use and love them.  Feel free to use them on design team projects or anything you want.  All I ask is that you post them so I can see what you have done.  There is a deadline but it isn't written in stone.  I would like to see them within the next two weeks.  I hope you two are up for the challenge.  Feel free to challenge me back if you feel like it.

I know for my first project, I will do a shaker card.  To be honest, that is the first thing I could think of using sequins.  Wish me luck.  If anyone out there has any ideas for me, I would love to hear them.  Please leave me a comment.

Corrosive Challenge #216 - Winter Blues


Hello everyone.  I am back with another challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  Here are the details:

Sponsor:  A Day for Daisies
Prize:  $12 Gift Voucher
Theme:  Create a wintry and/or blue project

Easy right?  I wanted to make my friend Cathy a birthday card.  She has a Pinterest page on fashion she likes, so I chose to use this image from A Day for Daisies called Hepburn Dress.  I thought Cathy would love it.  Her favorite color is purple but the challenge called for blue.  I hope she likes it anyway.  Cathy isn't all about the foo foo and embellies so I kept it clean and simple.  Happy Birthday Cathy!

KennyK Challenge #187 - You are Special!


Hi everyone.  I am back with another fabulous KennyK challenge.  I have been taking it easy for so long, just doing a card here and there.  I am ready to get back down to business and try new things.  I also want to start using more of the delightful supplies I have piled up in my studio.  Organization is also one of my goals this year.  I actually wrote down the names of my supplies as I created my card.  If you know me, that is quite an accomplishment!

Challenge #187 is called You are Special.  I think we all need to realize that, especially me.  I am one of those people who constantly puts myself down and has very low self-esteem.  Hopefully, that will change this year.  I am going to not be so hard on myself and take it day by day.  The image I am using is part of the new release from KennyK Downloads.  Her name is Foxy Mama and the name definitely suits her.  I told my niece this was a self-portrait. Hehehe!

Corrosive Challenges #214 - Anything Goes


Hi everyone.  Boy am I out of practice.  So much going on at home and just not enough time left over to craft but things are changing.  I colored this in my freshly painted living room.  That's what the hubby and I did over Thanksgiving.  First we had to patch a lot of spots where the parrots weren't very good babies.  We also painted the kitchen.  It was a lot of work but it looks so pretty now.  We hadn't painted in about 10 years.  It was well overdue.  But enough about me.  It's time for another challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  This is our last challenge of the year and it is Anything Goes.

Corrosive Challenges #209 - Halloween Colors


Hello everyone.  It is time for another Corrosive Challenges challenge.  This one is Halloween Colors.  The sponsors are Aurora Wings and Simply B Stamps.  I am using a beautiful image from Aurora Wings.  I used green, orange, purple and black for my Halloween colors.  

I must admit, this was a tough one. I wanted to make a birthday card for my sister and these are not really her favorite colors but I think it came out okay.  I hope she likes it.  Happy Birthday Rhonda!  I am heading down to Kentucky in a couple of weeks to see her and my nieces and their children.  I can't wait to squeeze those babies.

Corrosive Challenges #206 - "B" Unique


Welcome to the latest challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  We are sponsored by DILLY BEANS and I am using Deli Framed.  We want you to use at least 3 things that start with a B on your project.  I used black, button brads, black bling and bows.  Since this is a triple b challenge, I decided to make this one for my favorite triple b...Bailey Bug Boggs.


Isn't she adorable?  She started kindergarten this year.  This was either day one or day two.  She is really loving it.  I love my Bailey Bug Boggs.  She is my niece Rebecca's daughter.  I could just eat her up.
