Welcome to another Corrosive Challenges challenge. The new challenge is called Myth & Magic...create a mythical or magical themed project. Our fabulous sponsor is Delicious Doodles. They have a great range of images at DD. You can find something for everyone. I tend to go for their darker images. The image I chose for my project is called Black Pearl.
I was kind of burnt out on cards today so I decided to do a canvas. I began with a blank white canvas. I printed out a picture of water and glued it down to the canvas. I had colored my image with Copics and cut it out. I applied it to the canvas with Mod Podge. I went over the entire canvas with a thin layer of Mod Podge. Then I began to texture it. I took some texture paste and applied it to the sea floor first. After it dried, I mixed acrylic paint with glaze and applied some different color layers. Then I worked on the top and sides. After I had my paint layers down, I mixed some micro glass beads in the paste and added it all over. Then I painted again and again until I was happy with it. After everything dried, I added some flower soft, embossing powder, ribbon and a skull.
The finishing touch was a little bit of clear gel with glass beads in it along with a spritz of shimmer mist. I really hope you all like it. Please head over to Corrosive Challenges to see what the rest of the amazing design team has created for your inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by.
