The 12 Months of Halloween...SBS Style

Simply Betty Stamps is starting a brand new challenge series.  It is called the 12 Months of Halloween.  This is the first challenge and we would like you to create a monochramatic halloween card with a twist.  You can add either orange, lime green or purple to black and white.  Ok, you can use any other color you would like as long as it is a spooky color.

As you can see, I used purple.  Green is my favorite color but I was asked to stray over to purple so I did.  I started first with this amazing SBS witch.  I have been wanting to color this image for quite a while.  I am very limited with my Copic grays but I did the best I could with what I have.  I plan to get more grays for my birthday this year.  Cross your fingers for me.  My background paper is from DCWV.  It is so beautiful in real life.  I cut out my image and popped it up on SU dimensionals.

The prize for this challenge is to be "The Queen of Halloween", you will get a digi image and be the star of next month's challenge.  All the details are posted on SBS.  Please head over and check out what the others have created for your inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by.

I {heart} you!!!!

Welcome.  Today we bring you another fabulous Corrosive Challenge called I {heart} you.  All we ask is that you use hearts on your project.  Our sponsor this month is Kenny K Downloads...AWESOME!  Tons and tons of amazing images to choose from there.  I am using Lil' Angel and Devil.  They are sooooo stinkin' cute!

I colored these cuties with Copics.  I added some glitter all over.  I used a new Stampin' Up die to cut and emboss  the hearts.  The designer paper is from Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye.  I made my card while watching television with my hubby.  I keep some of my supplies in the living room.  I wanted to distress all the pieces on this but I was too lazy to go upstairs and get some ink.  Now that it is finished, I wish I would have done it.  It really needs some definition.  My skin is still acting up and my thumb bled on two lengths of ribbon.  Luckily, I was able to actually get a bow done without blood on it.  Oh these winter hands!

Please head over to The Corrosive Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has created for inspiration and then join us in the challenge.  Thanks for stopping by.

Tea Anyone?

This is post number 2 for today.  I was a busy girl.  This is Tea Time Lilly from Simply Betty Stamps.  I just love her.  I normally cut out my images and pop them up but, to be honest, I ran out of time.  I went clean and simple here and sometimes that is the best way to go.  The designer paper is from Stampin Up.  I don't normally like red but I had dinner with friends and all of us but one showed up in red...so I was really feeling red tonight.

Please hop over and check out what the others at SBS have done with Lilly.  Tomorrow is the big release and a Blog Hop.  Join us won't you?

Winter Colors with SSD

Hello all!  Today at Sassy Studio Designs we challenge you to use Winter Colors...Blue, Purple, White and Silver.  When I think of winter colors, I automatically think of the Bride of Frankenstein.  What?  You don't?  I have had this image just hanging around for a very long time.  I was rushed tonight as I had my monthly craft club meeting.  Unfortunately, we voted to never craft again and just get together to eat...so sad for me.  Anyway, I had two cards to finish tonight so I grabbed this image and ran with it.   The colors didn't come out well in this picture.  My card base is purple and the designer paper is silver mirror paper.  It is so pretty in real life.  I love this paper.

Please check out what the other DT members created for this challenge.  I hope you join in.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Wanna Play Dress Up?

Every little girl (and some little boys, Frank) love to play dress up.  Simply Betty Stamps brings us Dress Up Ariel.  What a doll.  I can't tell you how much fun it is to play dress up when you are little.  The more things you could add to your outfit the better.

I colored Ariel with Copics.  I also added some MS glitter glue (hate it but determined to get my money's worth) and Viva Glitter Liner (love it).  The designer paper is from BoBunny.  The ribbon is generic.

This will be a quick post as it is late and I am so sleepy.  The other DT members have created some great cards.  Please head over to SBS to check them out.  Only two more days until the release of Jude & the Rockers Playtime!

Thanks for stopping by.

Lunchtime Brittany

Here's another cutie from Simply Betty Stamps.  This is Lunchtime Brittany.  Every image done of Brittany reminds me of my niece, Grace.  I used to call her baby Grace when she was little and she looked just like Brittany.  Now she is all grown up and about to get married.  I feel so old!

I took a liberty with this image.  Brittany comes on a cute little rug with an open lunchbox.  I messed that part up so I did what I had to do...I cut it off.  Anyway, I colored this with Copics, cut her out and popped her up on SU dimensionals.  The designer paper is from Authentique (I told you you would be seeing more of it).  The ribbon is generic and the corduroy brad is from SU.

Please head over to Simply Betty Stamps to see what the others have created.  Then check back tomorrow for another Jude & the Rockers Playtime preview.  Don't worry, these cuties will be released before you know it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Jude & the Rockers - Playtime Preview

Hello everyone.  It is time for some more amazing new Jude & the Rockers images from Simply Betty Stamps.  This new line is called Playtime.  Jude & the Rockers never disappoint.  This little cutie is Spelling Blocks Oscar.  He sure looks like he is having a great time!  Oh to be young and innocent again.

I colored Oscar with Copics, cut him out and popped him up on SU dimensionals.  The cute little crayon is from Dress it Up.  I just love their stuff.  I have found so many cute buttons from them.  I just cut the button do-dad off the back and attach with glue dots.

We have a lots more coming up this week before the Release Blog Hop so check in often.  Please head over to SBS and see what the rest of the Design Team has created with Oscar.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

How are you liking the hop so far?  If you just got her from the amazing Kathy's blog, you are on the right track.  This is Sassy Cupid.  Isn't she lovely?  I colored her with Copics.  I added some Martha Stewart glitter glue to her bow and arrow.  I have to express an issue I have with MS glitter glue.  I bought the entire set at once.  I have opened and used 9 of them so far.  ALL of them but one was clogged the next time I went to use them.  I have nothing but trouble with them.  I have tried sticking a needle down the tip and opening them to wash the cap.  Don't try that by the way because you can't get the cap to stay back on.  What a pain!!!  It is not a good thing.  Martha, if you are out there, may I please have a refund?

On a good note, I used liquid pearls on this card...no clogging, no issues.  Well, just one issue.  I should have made my dots larger.  Oh well, live and learn.  The next stop on your hop is the super talented Julie.  Don't forget to leave love along the way.  You could earn yourself a free image.  Thanks for stopping by.

Bottle it Up!

Hi everyone.  I would like you to meet Winter Wendy from Sassy Studio Designs.  She is available free to our Paper Craft Planet group members.  If you are a member, go grab her now.  If you are not, sign up and then you can have your very own!  SSD offers a new freebie every Friday on PCP.

Our FFF hostess, Miss Regan, has asked us to use Winter Wendy in a challenge called "Bottle it Up".  She wants us to use something that comes from a bottle on our projects.  I used Liquid Pearls and Viva Glitter Liner as my bottled items.  I colored Wendy with Copics and popped her up on dimensionals.  The designer paper is from Authentique and the ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I am pretty sure my pearl brad is from Pizzazz Aplenty.

Thanks for supporting SSD on PCP and thanks for stopping by.

My First Corrosive Challenge Post

Today, I am officially a Design Team Member for The Corrosive Challenge Blog and I am excited to tell you about our first challenge for 2012...Ringing in the New Year!  The challenge is to use something new on your project.  We are sponsored by Kenny K Downloads (one of my  personal favorites).

I am using this fabulous image from Kenny K called J-Cool.  I wanted to try doing African American skin tones.  I think I did pretty good.  I thought J-Cool was perfect for Ringing in the New Year.  He is all blinged out and ready to go.  I colored him with Copics, cut him out and popped him up with SU dimensionals.  In addition to using a "new" image, I used "new" background paper.  It is called POW glitter paper.  I found it at Pat Catan's.  It was a little hard to work with but very beautiful.  It kept rolling itself up.  Unfortunately, the picture doesn't do it justice.  My other "new" item is the cute music notes.  They are from Jolee and I bought them specifically for this card.  I feel like J-Cool  is a budding music mogul and a party guy.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Please hop on over to The Corrosive Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created for your inspiration.  Then join in the challenge.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.

My Funky Valentine

Please say hello to My Funky Valentine Betty from Simply B Stamps.  I am normally all for bright bold colors but this time I think I should have gone a bit softer.  But you know me, I just can't stop myself.  Put a Copic marker in my hand and I just color and color.  The more intense, the more I like it (usually).  Betty just seems a bit too girly and should have been softer.  I am sure I will use this image again so I will try to contain myself next time.

We have one more Teen Scene Valentine Steampunk left to show you and that will happen tomorrow.  Please make sure you don't miss it.  We will also have a special image to show you.  I am not giving you any hints at all as to what the image will be.  You will just have to come back and find out.

Please hop over to SBS and see what the others have created with Betty.  Thanks for stopping by.

Hearts-a-Flutter

Welcome back.  Here is another fabulous preview from Simply B Stamps.  Today's preview is My Heart's a Flutter Christian.  I am so loving his green hair!  This is going to be a quick post for me.  I am a little behind schedule today.  I took time out of my evening to watch The Biggest Loser.  I have never seen it before and my bestie loves it so I thought I would give it a try.  I didn't realize it was two hours long.

Anyway,  I colored Christian with Copics, cut him out and popped him up.  The ribbon is generic and I used an EK punch for the ribbon holes.  The gear is from Tim Holtz.  The background paper is foil with some green Staz On rubbed over it.

Please hop over to SBS and see what the others have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

More Steampunk Love

Hi everyone.  I am back with another fabulous preview from Simply B Stamps.  This is A Heart for you Rio.  Isn't she cute?!  This is my favorite one in the new Teen Scene Valentine Steampunk line.  The reason you ask.  Well, because of the bird on top of her head!  If you follow my blog you know that I have 5 parrots.  I am all about the birdies!!!!

I colored Rio with Copics.  I colored her bird to match one of my babies.  His name is Ferguson and he is a Blue & Gold Macaw.

Isn't he handsome?  Of course he is too large to be hanging out on heads but he is beautiful.  I do have an African Grey who loves to sit on heads.  She grabs the hair and rides your head like a bull.  She is so funny when she does it.  Whenever someone new comes over, she jumps right on their heads to check them out.

Back to the crafting.  I used Tim Holtz gears and some screw brads on this card.  The background paper is a thin sheet of copper paper that I glued to another piece of paper.  Then I ran it through my BigShot in an embossing folder.  I added Diamond Glaze to Rio's glasses to make them look real.  I love using it but I have a terrible time with the tip clogging.

I had a great time working on Rio.  Please head over to SBS and see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  They are amazing.  Then come back tomorrow.  We have previews all week.

Thanks for stopping by.

Here Kitty Kitty

This is Kitty Love London from Simply B Stamps.  She is the second Teen Scene Valentine Steampunk preview we have for you.  Isn't she beautiful.  I was lucky enough to spend Friday night with Bianca.  She is one of my nieces.  We had a lovely evening watching a marathon of The Secret Circle.  I started coloring London and Bianca said "I am really feeling blue hair for her".  I thought it was a great idea so I gave London blue hair.

I colored this with Copics.  I tried to give the kitty a textured look but I don't think I pulled it off.  I will keep practicing.  I like to make A2 cards whenever possible.  This image is quite large but I managed to fit it on an A2 but that didn't leave room for much else.  After looking at the finished product, I don't really think it needs anything else.  Each new London image makes me think of my niece Grace.  That is why I chose to make the sides of her dress open.  Grace likes to dress sexy.  When you've got it, flaunt it...right?

Please hop over to SBS and check out what the others have created.  They are so awesome.  Then don't forget to come back tomorrow for the next one.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy New Year!!!!!

Happy New Year everyone!  We have a great way to start off the year.  Simply B Stamps is unveiling a brand new release called Teen Scene Valentine Steampunks.  The previews start today with

Box of Chocolates Miller.

Isn't he a doll?  I colored him with Copics.  The background paper is from Core'dinations.  I ran it through an embossing folder, sanded it and then added some ink.  I love the gears on his hat and tie.  I added a "working" gear from Tim Holtz.  I doubled up the pieces and used a screw brad to hold them together.  Then I popped it up with SU dimensional so you can actually spin it around.

We will have another preview from Simply B Stamps tomorrow.  I know you won't want to miss it.  But before you go, please hop over to SBS and check out what the other Design Team members have created.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
