Corrosive Challenges #227-Leave a Little Sparkle

It time for another challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  This time we want you to Leave a Little Sparkle.  That means you can add glitter, gems, shiny things...anything that sparkles.  Our hostess this time around is Debora.  Our sponsor is A Day for Daisies which will be giving the winner a $12 gift voucher.  Fantastic right?

I chose to work with Star Flower Girl.  I have had this moon die for a while now and I was just dying to use it.  I fussy cut the image and sat her on the moon.  I popped the moon up on fun foam.

I added sparkle everywhere by using Tim Holtz's new Deco Sheets in silver.  I also added some star gems for a little somethin' somethin'.  I created the background using watercolor paper and Distress Inks.  That's my favorite part of the entire card.  I just couldn't find a designer paper that would work.  I was a bit disappointed with my sentiment and swirl.  It was an after thought and everything else was already stuck down so I had to work around it.  Someday I will learn to plan ahead.

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog to see what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Corrosive Challenges #226 - Pile it On!

It is time for another challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  This time we want you to Pile it On!  That means layers or embellishments or techniques.  Just give us the specifics in your blog post.  Easy peasy!!!

Our hostess this time around is our fearless leader Regan.  Our sponsor is Stamps by Aurora Wings.  If you are the lucky winner, you will receive a $15 gift voucher for Aurora Wings.  Just remember, you can't win if you don't play.

For my card, I piled on the layers and the pearls.  There are two layers on the base, four layers of matting under the mermaid and nine pearls.  That's a lot of pearls for me.  I was also able to use a few new items on this card.  I won a doily die a while back and never had a chance to use it.  I also used a new script die from Tim Holtz.  Believe it or not, that sucker cut through chipboard.  Fantastic!  I thought with a cheery sentiment this would be perfect for a friend.

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog and check out what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

KennyK Challenge #196-One for the Boys

Hi and welcome to a fabulous new challenge at
KENNYK
Normally you would be getting this post from Rebecca, however, her computer got stuck on Blogger so this is her sister Robin making her post.
The challenge is "Anything Goes with a Twist:  One for the Boys".  She made this card for a man she works with that is retiring.  Guy cards are always difficult ones because you want to embellish and that's not really a guy thing.  I think she did a wonderful job with this.  I see also she got to use a new stamp set she got when we went to the Mega Meet in Michigan.
So I hope you enjoy this and don't forget to check out all the amazing creations over on the challenge blog and don't forget to leave them all some love.
