Corrosive Challenge #221-Hop Into Spring

Hi everyone.  I am back with a really fun project.  The theme for the current challenge from Corrosive Challenges is Hop Into Spring.  All you have to do is create a project for Easter or Spring.  Our sponsor is Sami Stamps and the prize is a $12 gift voucher!!!

I decided to do a mixed media piece using Comfy Cocoa by Sami Stamps.  I recently got a new planner to try to stay more organized.  I bought all the pieces separately and put them all together in a small binder.  There were a few chipboard pieces included with some of the parts I ordered.  I told my mother-in-law I was going to decorate them.  She said she wanted to tell me a story.  She was talking with a friend of hers when her friend told her that her daughter-in-law (that would be me) is so pretty and really lights up a room.

I am like most women.  I put myself down a lot.  I never think anything I do is good enough and I have never considered myself pretty.  I gained a lot of weight and am very self-conscious about it.  My mother-in-law is always telling me she loves my hair and thinks I am so pretty.  After she told me her story she asked if I would please decorate one of the pages with the quote, "I light up the room."  She said that way, I would never forget.  So here it is.  I hope you guys like it.

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog and check out what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Corrosive Challenge #220-Our Animal Friends

It's time for another fabulous challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  Here are the details

Hostess: Julie Hebert
Sponsor: Ppinkydolls
Prize: 3 digis
Theme: include an animal on your project

Easy right?  A beautiful little bird is on my shoulder as I type this.  My poor little Rudy had a rough night last night so he is getting some extra mommy time.  Too bad he can't type.  For this challenge I used Cookie with Bunny by Ppinkydolls.  My parrot helper Sydney was in the studio with me while I created this.  I was suffering from lack of motivation today and I thought she would help bring my mojo back.  Turns out, Sydney didn't have any mojo today either.  We kept going though and got our project done.  Sydney was very proud to show her daddy what she worked on when we were done.  I should have taken a picture of it but I forgot.

The inside of the card is stamped with one of the sentiments that go with the die I used.  The inside says "We lived closer because I miss you."

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog and check out what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

Corrosive Challenge #219 - Follow Your Heart

Welcome to another fantastic challenge from Corrosive Challenges.  The theme this time is Follow Your Heart.  Here are the challenge details:

Hostess: Michelle
Sponsor:  Faery Ink
Prize: 3 Digis
Include hearts on your project

I wanted to make some kid friendly cards to replenish my stash.  I have soooo many wonderful children in my life and they all love to get cards in the mail.  I am not sure which little darling will get this one.  I had a great time creating it.  I used neglected dies and a new one.  I have pre-ordered a lot more sentiment dies but none of them have come in yet.  I can hardly stand the wait.

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog and see what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

KennyK Challenge #190 - Shape Up

It is time for another challenge from KennyK's Krafty Krew.  The challenge is Anything Goes with a Twist.  The Twist this time is Shape Up.  You must make a shaped card.  That means no squares or rectangles.  As you can see above, I went with circles.  I couldn't decide which one of these cuties I  wanted to use so I made two cards.  The boy's sentiment means thank you and the girl's says hello.

I cheated a bit on this one by using some clip art in the background.  My sister was quite impressed and asked me to teach her how to do the sun in the back.  I had to tell her I didn't do it.  I ordered her a sunburst stencil so she could do it herself if she wanted to.  I can't wait to see what she creates with it.

Please head over to KennyK's Krafty Krew and see what the others created for your inspiration.  They are so awesome.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.
