Corrosive Challenges #193 - In Stitches

Challenge:  In Stitches (project must contain either faux or actual stitching)
Sponsor: A&T Designs (home of The Emerald Faeries)
Prize:  3 Digis

Welcome back everyone.  It is time for another Corrosive Challenges challenge.  I must admit that I felt a little off my game with this one.  I am not sure why but it just doesn't feel like my best work.  I have decided to send it to my darling little great niece Bailey because she loves whatever I do.  She is 5 years old and loves to get cards in the mail so this one is coming to you my little Bailey Bug!!!  I miss you and I love you.

The sentiment was heat embossed and unfortunately, you can't really see what it says.  It says "once in a lifetime you meet someone who changes everything", sweet huh?  Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog and check out what the rest of the design team created for your inspiration.  They all did such awesome work.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

KennyK's Krafty Krew Challenge #166 Distressing

Hello everyone.  I am back with another super challenge from KennyK's Krafty Krew.  As always our challenge is Anything Goes with a Twist.  The twist for this challenge is distressing.  The great thing about distressing is that you can make mistakes and they look intentional.  Our sponsor is KennyK Downloads, of course.  And as always, the prize is bigger if you add the twist.

I am debuting part of the New Glam Gang Release.  This is Fabby Farah.  She sure looks like she is having fun.  I was a bit nervous while creating this because I had to get it done early as I had surgery this week.  I haven't had surgery since I was 7.  I am happy to report that my gallbladder came out with no trouble.  I am a bit sore but glad it is all over.

For this card I used double-sided designer paper, cut the center and folded the edges back.  I distressed the edges of all the paper with my scissors and some distress inks. I just rolled the corners up a bit with my fingers.  Now it's your turn.  But first, please head over to KennyK's Krafty Krew and see what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

My niece Cara has made an awesome Valentine project for her class.  She is 9 yrs old.  We worked together on this along with my talented sister Robin and also Cara's mom.  Here are some of the pics.

She had a lot of fun but said it was a lot of work.  Please go to her blog and leave her some love.  She just loves to hear from people.  Head on over to her blog here.

Corrosive Challenge #192 - Feel the Love

Hello everyone.  It's time for another challenge at Corrosive Challenges.  This challenge is all about feeling the love.  Our sponsor is:

SSD is giving 4 digis away to the prize winner.  Awesome right?!  SSD gave me this image called Disney Fan to work with.  It's such an adorable image that I had to make it for a new love in my life and here she is.

This is darling little Layla Faye Franklin.  Layla is my great niece and she is just the cutest thing ever.  Her mother is a huge Disney fan.  I just want to squeeze her she is so sweet.  And while we are talking about nieces, I want to thank my niece Bianca for cleaning out the bird rooms today.  I really appreciate it Bianca.

Now back to business.  I had some issues working on this card.  I am not sure why but I usually have trouble when I am creating for a reason.  It seems to flow better for me when I have no plan.  I am a bit scatter-brained.  I knew one thing I wanted to do for sure and that was use a fabulous embossing folder on the background.  My friend Regan used it on one of her projects and I just had to have it.  I found it on sale at Amazon and used my credit card points so it was free.  Score!

Please head over to the Corrosive Challenges blog and check out what the rest of the design team created for your inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a good one.
