Down on the Farm...

2 Sisters Challenge is going Down on the Farm!  Isn't this an awesome challenge?  I love anything to do with animals.  I found this adorable pig and sentiments at Doodle Pantry.  It is one of my favorite digital stamps shops.  I colored the precious piglet with Copic markers.  I cut him out with a nesties die.  The background paper is from Doodlebug.  I covered most of it up but it is covered with cute little animals.

The ribbon is from my "box-o-scraps".  I used two Stampin' Up punches to cut out the sentiment.  The main cardstock is generic.  I love brown and pink together!

Please hop over and check out what the rest of the 2 Sisters design team has created for your inspiration.  I can't wait to see what you come up with so please play along.

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in July with Sassy Studio Designs

It is time to beat the heat with Christmas in July.  Please join us over at Sassy Studio Designs.  I started out by letting my husband choose the SSD image I would use for this challenge.  I think he did a good job.  I colored her with Copics.  I used a MS holly punch under the ribbon but I don't think it shows up very well in the picture.

For those of you who don't know, you can color gems with Copics so you really don't need to buy tons of different colors.  The gems I used were clear and I colored them with R29.  I think they are a pretty good match to the background red.

I am not a fan of the heat so I embraced this challenge.  Now it is making me long for winter.  Most people think I am nuts but I love winter!  Please hop over to SSD and check out what the other DT members created for your inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by.

Glinda

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the Shabby Sparkle challenge for Cupcake Craft.  I used this shabby craft background page that already had a flocked witch in the corner.  I used this perfect SSD image, Glinda, for my sparkle.   I also used some glitter paper and a beautifully sparkle butterfly embellishment.  I am a huge Wizard of Oz fan and so is my little friend Sarah.  She was Glinda for Halloween last year.

Please pop over to SSD and see what the other DT members created for this challenge and please participate at Cupcake Craft.

Pirates of the Caribbean Have Taken Over SSD

Welcome to Pirates of the Caribbean Release Day!  Sassy Studio Designs is releasing a set of all your favorite Pirate characters today!!!!!!  I had so much fun working on this project.  My sweet little niece Cara has a sleepover at my house (hence the Little Mermaid nightie she is wearing) a while ago.  She wanted to play with my costumes and decided she wanted to be Jack Sparrow for a while.  If you follow my blog you know I have lots of real parrots.  In lieu of putting a real one on her (they don't sit still very long for pictures) I put a stuffed parrot on her shoulder.  Isn't she adorable?!

I have been waiting for the right opportunity to do this scrapbook page.  Thanks to SSD I now have the perfect images to go with Cara's picture.  I absolutely love to color.  I had a great time coloring these except for Jack's hair.  Next time I will print him a little larger so it will be easier.  We were supposed to do a sketch challenge but I didn't get the message soon enough so please forgive me.  You can find all the sketch details on the SSD blog.

Since it is SSD release day, we are having a blog hop.  If you are coming here from the super talented Regan's blog, you are on the right track.  Your next stop is:

If you came here first, please start at the SSD blog.  Please come back to the SSD blog tonight for our Party Chat.  Thanks for stopping by.

The Chosen One!

Was it worth the wait?  I think so.  Here he is....Harry Potter himself!  Bianca thought of the perfect sentiment for this one right after I finished the card.  I am so bummed.  It was PERFECT for this image.  I am not going to tell you what it is.  I think I will just make another one and post it at a later time.

The Burtonesque Dolls have been so busy with these Funky Potters from Simply Betty Stamps.  Please make sure you check out what the other Design Team members have done.  The details for purchasing these amazing images are also posted at TBD

Don't Mess with Ginny!

Today The Burtonesque Dolls and Simply Betty Stamps bring you Ginny Weasley.  Ginny is one in a long line of Weasley children at Hogwarts but she is the only girl.  Growing up with Fred and George, Ginny learned to take care of herself.  You never want to be on the receiving end of one of her "Bat-Bogey" hexes.

I am so loving these Funky Potter images.  I colored Ginny with Copics.  The bats are from a Martha Stewart punch as is the Drippy Goo border.  Get it?!  The goo represents the bogey part of the hex.  I distressed part of the card with some SU Caramel ink.

I hope you are enjoying Preview Day #2 of the Funky Potters.  Please hop over to TBD and see what the other Design Team members have done.  Also, check back tomorrow to see the next Funky Potter.  I will give you a hint...his spells don't work right when he breaks his wand.  See you tomorrow.

Oh, before I leave I was asked about purchasing these images.  Please check Simply Betty Stamps on Preview Day 6 for all the details.

Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome to Hogwarts!!!!

Today is Day #1 of The Burtonesque Dolls Preview of Funky Potters from Simply Betty Stamps.  I have a confession to make, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan!  I originally read the first book when there was so much controversy over it.  I purchased it for my niece, Grace, and the family had heard it wasn't appropriate and was evil so I read it.  Once I did, there was no turning back for me.  I absolutely loved it!  I ended up reading every book in the series multiple times.

Meet Miss Hermione Granger.  For those of you who don't know, Hermione is a bit of a know-it-all but in a lovable way.  She is one of Harry Potter's best friends and the smartest in their class.  She reads every book she can get her hands on and her brain helps Harry get through some pretty rough times.

One of the first spells we remember Hermione for is "Alohomora" when she, Harry and Ron are trying to get through a locked door in The Sorcerer's Stone.  I colored her with Copics and used a Spellbinders banner die for the sentiment.  I knew I wanted a door on the card since "Alohomora" opens a locked door.  I cut it out of cardstock and my niece, Bianca, had the idea to angle it as if it was opened.  I used a great brad from Pizzazz Aplenty for the door.  Now I have a key leftover for another project as they were a set.  I popped Hermione up on Stampin' Up dimensionals.

Please stop over at TBD and check out what the rest of the Design Team has done.  These images are so fun to work with.  Thanks so much for stopping by and please check back for Funky Potter #2.  I will give you a hint...it is someone known for her Bat-Bogey Hex.  See you tomorrow.

Happy Birthday to You!!!!!

It's celebration time at 2 Sisters Challenge.  The challenge this week is "Birthday"  in celebration of 2 Sisters Challenge Blogaversary!  We have lots of sponsors this week.  I am using this image from Glitterbabe.  I love birds.  I have 5 parrots myself.  I made this birthday card for my favorite police officer.  He just turned 52.  Happy Birthday Scwoop-a-doop!!!

I used Copics, scrap paper and button brads for this card.  The background paper is left over from my husband's Father's Day card.  My birdie babies made him a birdie card.

Please hop over to 2 Sisters and check out what the other Design Team members have done.  We also have an additional treat for you.  2 Sisters will be posting additional cards over the next few days in honor of their Blogaversary.  Thanks for stopping by.

Last But Not Least....Here is Oscar

Hello everyone.  I would like you to meet the final member of Jude and the Rockers...Oscar.  Simply Betty Stamps really has a bunch of winners with these little Rockers.  I love toddlers and these were so much fun to color.  I am sorry to say this is day 6 and the end of the previews.  Don't worry though, now the stamps will be released and you can get your very own!!!

I had the usual recipe for this card, Copics, dimensionals, nesties and so on.  I really need to finish cleaning my studio so I can find the rest of my card making toys.  Don't forget to pop over to SBS and check out the rest of the inspiration cards.

On a personal note, I just want to congratulate my niece for making the Dean's List.  Way to go my little Blantonator!!!!!

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree with SSD

Today is the first and that means another Sassy Studio Designs Christmas challenge.  The challenge is to use a non-Christmas image and make a Christmas project with it.  The idea for my card came quite easily.  I had already printed this rockin' image before I knew what the challenge was.  I looked at her and said to myself, she is a rocker...what would she be doing at Christmas...rockin' around the Christmas Tree.  And there you have it.  A card is born.

I colored her with Copics and popped her up with SU dimensionals.  The tree is clipart that I printed and cut out.  I know I got the background paper from Pat Catan's but I am not sure who the manufacturer is.  I am so bad with paper.

Please check out what the other DT members have created for your inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by!
