Say Hello to Miss Lilly

Preview Day #5 brings us Lilly.  She is so stinking cute!  I picked red for her hair because she reminds me of my little niece Cortlynn.  She is one strong minded little girl.  She has just as much attitude as little Lilly here has and even more red hair.  I colored Lilly with Copics (of course) and used some great digital paper from Jak Heath.  Please hop over there.  She is amazing and has digital paper freebies.  Thanks Jak.

This Jude and the Rockers set is just awesome.  I know I will be using these images for a very long time.  Make sure you check out what the other designers have created.  You won't be disappointed.  Then come back tomorrow for the final image.  And make sure you visit Simply Betty Stamps and get your own.

Thanks for stopping by!

Brittany Has Arrived

It is Day 3 of the Jude and the Rockers preview from Simply Betty Stamps.  I want to thank them for once again letting me join in the fun.  When I received this set I must say I immediately picked Brittany as my favorite.  She reminds me so much of my niece Grace when she was young.  She used to say her name was Baby Grace and she had the curliest hair I have ever seen.  She still does.

I colored Brittany (Baby Grace) with Copics.  I found some cute girly paper at Pat Catans and added in some black cardstock and silver foil.  I absolutely love this one.  You know how sometimes your mojo just isn't working for you?  Well mine was tonight.  I had this picture of Grace in my head when she was posing in this pink t-shirt and jeans with her hair everywhere!!!

I hope you like this as much as I do.  Thanks for stopping by.

Double Trouble!

The Burtonesque Dolls are seeing double today!  The challenge is to use 2 of the same image in one project.  I found this awesome stamp at the Adventures in Stamping convention this spring.  I was a little disappointed in the show this year but I still managed to spend lots of money.   So did my sister.

I stamped the image with Staz On Metallic Silver.  Way cool!!!!  Since this image makes such a statement I didn't want to add anything else to it other than the ribbon down the center.  I used black and pink cardstock with silver foil in between the layers.

Please stop over at TBD and see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome Jude and the Rockers!!!!

Today is Preview Day 1 for Simply Betty Stamps new collection called Jude and the Rockers.  This is Jude.  He is such a cutie pie!!!!  SBS was kind enough to include The Burtonesque Dolls in this Simply Betty Stamps release.  I colored Jude with Copics and a little glitter glue.  He was so much fun to color.

The background paper was a Halloween leftover.  The other paper was from Bo Bunny and I got it 2 Halloweens ago.  I used my MS drippy goo punch on that one.  The ribbon is from my leftover collection as well.  I hope you like it.

Please check out what the Simply Betty Design Team has created for this release and check back tomorrow for Preview #2.  Thanks for stopping by!

Fairies, Fairies and More Fairies

Today at 2 Sisters Challenge we are doing......you guessed it.....Fairies!!!  We are sponsored by The Stamping Boutique.  I used their beautiful Serenity image.  I love blue and brown together so I started this one with the paper first.  I usually color first.  I colored it with Copics and glitter glue.  I popped up the body and one of the birds with SU dimensionals.  I added lots of Copic dots all around and put glitter glue on the ones that existed in the original image.

I hope you like it.  Please stop over and see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  Thanks for stopping by!

Just for Dad

Today at 2 Sisters Challenge we are celebrating Dad.  We are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and asked to make either a Father's Day card or something masculine.  Not having a father myself, I chose to just do masculine.  I actually picked colors I thought my husband would like.  He is a green lover just like me!

I started with this amazing image called Gnome from Robyn's Fetish and colored him with Copic markers.  I then cut him out and popped him up on a background made with nesties.  I wanted to keep this very simple.  Most men I know don't like a lot of "stuff" on their cards.  Me,  the more "stuff" the better!  I added just a brad in each corner and a sentiment from SU placed on a nesties banner.

And there you have it.  Please hop over to 2 Sisters to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  Thanks for stopping by!

The Cullens!

Edward and Bella are back again!  Today at Sassy Studio Designs we are glamming it up.  That means you can use glitter, bling or whatever to make your project shimmer and shine.  I used this awesome SSD image of Edward and Bella embracing.

I colored the image with Copics and then added glitter all over Edward (vampires sparkle you know).  I then cut them out.  I popped them up on a frame I made using nesties and a little Distress Ink.  I punched out some hearts of different sizes (MS heart border punch).  I glued them on and then glittered them with brown glitter.  After all, you can never have too much glitter.   The banner is from a set of stamps I bought on eBay ages ago.  I got one for myself and one for my sister.  It has been years and I don't think she has used hers yet.

I really love the way this one came out and I hope you do as well.  Please stop over at SSD and join in the fun.  Thanks for stopping by!

Meet Ellanore!!!!

The Burtonesque Dolls are back for day 3 of the Burton-Weenies Preview.  Simply Betty Stamps sure did an awesome job with this collection.  The Dolls are combining this preview with our usual challenge.  The challenge is to put Ellanore in a Burton movie.  I chose to put her in Alice in Wonderland.  I couldn't resist.  I had this Wonderland paper left from another project so it was perfect.  I colored Ellanore (Alice) with Copics and popped her up with Stampin' Up dimensionals.

The sentiment is a rub-on I found at Big Lots.  I used my MS Drippy Goo border punch for the detail in the middle.  I colored the paper with distress ink.  Please pop over to TBD and see what everyone else has done and please play along.  All the details are over at TBD.

Thanks for stopping by.

Meet Belladonna!

Hi everyone!  It is Preview Day 2 for The Burtonesque Dolls and Simply Betty Stamps.  Today we bring you Belladonna from the Burton-Weenies.  She looks like she would be friends with my niece Becca.  In fact, this entire collection does.  I am sure Becca will be asking for these cards.

I colored Belladonna with Copic markers.  I was going for a Batman Pow kind of thing behind her.  I free hand cut it out of white and then matted it on black.  The image is also matted on black.  There is a hint of pink ink on it but it didn't show up in the picture.  All the paper was distressed with a Tim Holtz distress tool.  That doesn't show up well either.

I had so much fun coloring Belladonna and the others in this collection.  I hope you do too!

Please stop by TBD and check out what the others created.  Thanks for stopping by.

Meet the Burton-Weenies!!!!!

Hi everyone.  The Burtonesque Dolls are proud to announce another release from Simply Betty Stamps called Burton-Weenies!  The line comes out on Friday so you'll have to check back each day until then to see what is coming.  First we bring you JackJack.  Not my favorite name (long story) but very cool image.

I colored JackJack with Copic markers.  I found this cool background on the internet.  I loved the vibrant colors so I tried not to cover up too much of it.  The sentiment was a rub-on I found at Big Lots ages ago.  I really had fun with this one and even more so with the ones coming up.  I hope you check back tomorrow to see the next one.

Pop over to TBD and see what everyone else created.  Thanks for stopping by!

Edward and Bella

Welcome to another Sassy Studio Design Release Party.  I am soooooo excited about this one...Twilight and Harry Potter.  Two of my favorites.  I am using Edward and Bella...LUV THEM!  Sorry for the fuzzy sentiment.  I just can't seem to hold my hands steady while I take a picture.  I am glad Bianca (my photographer) will only be gone for a month.  I hope her father appreciates the sacrifices her favorite Aunt makes so he can spend time with her.

Back to business, I colored the images with Copics and the mat was cut using Nesties.  Here is a closeup of Edward and Bella.

I am so bad at remembering what companies my papers and embellies are from.  I promise to be more organized in the future.  I added some glitter to Edward.  He sparkles you know.  Here is a closeup of Edward.

My entire family loves Twilight.  I may start a bidding war on this card.  Between my sisters and nieces I should be able to get something good for this one.

We are doing a Scavenger Hunt for this SSD Release Party.   Please pop over to SSD for all the details.  Here is the blog hop list:

1...2...3

Hi everyone.  We are counting at 2 Sisters Challenge today with the help of our sponsors Pattie's Creations and Whimsie Doodles.  The challenge is 1,2,3!  1 image, 2 papers & 3 embellishments.  I started with my 1 image from Whimsie Doodles which is called Bubble Leah.  Isn't she a cutie?  I colored her with Copic markers (my favorite).  I added some liquid applique to her bubbles for some texture.

My 2 papers are from Stampin' Up!  I like this color combo.  My 3 embellies are corner brads, ribbon and bubble stickers (which I added some liquid applique to as well) in the corners of the image mat.  I had some issues with the third embellishment.  I was working late on it and suffered from creativity block.  I started digging through my messy craft table and found a sheet of bubble stickers.  I really need to get organized!

I have a little sad news.  Bianca (aka Alicia) has gone to Georgia for a month to visit her father.  She takes my pictures so I had to do this one by myself.  I think it came out ok, much better than it usually does for me.  Bianca takes really good pictures.

Please pop over to 2 Sisters and check out what the rest of the design team created.  Also, please join in.  I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Silhouettes at 2 Sisters

This week at 2 Sisters Challenge we are doing Silhouettes.  We are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps.  We were given beautiful silhouettes to work with.  I am using Reach.  Isn't she beautiful?!  I love fairies.  I am normally all about the coloring but this was a surprisingly nice change for me.

The background is just a white piece of cardstock that I embossed and inked.  The sentiment is a leftover rub-on I found in my drawer.  This was a quick one for me but I wanted the silhouette to be the star.

Please stop over and check out what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by!
