GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN!!!

This week I am representing 2 Design Teams with one card.  Great for me as I have been super busy this week.  The challenge at 2 Sisters Challenge (DT #1) this week is "Girls Just Want to Have Fun!!"  We are being sponsored by the amazing Sassy Studio Designs (DT #2)!!

I started with this Sassy GoGo Girl.  I colored her with Copic markers.  I wanted to put her on a dance floor with a disco ball but I couldn't find my circle punch.  My studio is a MESS right now.  So I went with silver foil paper and embossed it with some cool circles instead.  I used Nesties for the ovals and sentiment.   I used sizzix flourishes, some blue brads, a few clear gems and a silk rose to finish it off.

I can't wait to see what you all come up with for this challenge!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

2 Sisters Sketch Challenge

This week at 2 Sisters Challenge we are sponsored by The Hodge Podge Shop.  I used their beautiful Winter Chickadee for my card.  The challenge was to use this sketch from Mary:

I used generic scraps again on this one except for the velvet ribbon.  I bought this a while back and couldn't figure out what do do with it.  I decided to do all green since that is my favorite color.  I used a Matha Stewart border punch on the white.  I used an EK punch on the sentiment and the snowflakes.  I added snowflakes for two reasons.  First, because it is a Winter Chickadee and second, because I am doing double duty with this card.  My local craft group had a snowflake challenge.  I know snowflakes aren't green but white didn't work.  I topped them off with Martha Stewart glitter.

I colored the image with Copic markers twice.  I cut up the second image and layered two of the branches.  I also popped up the Chickadee.  Unfortunately, you can't tell that from the picture.  It is much better live.  I added liquid applique and some white glitter to the branches.  I added a few embellies and voila...all done.  I didn't enter any challenges with this one as I was too busy to search this time.

Please visit 2 Sisters and check out what the rest of the Design Team has to inspire you.

NEW YEAR, NEW START BURTONESQUE DOLLS STYLE

We're Back!!!
So Sorry for the delay, but a few of the Dolls have been unwell, so we extended our
Christmas Break.

Here's this weeks Challenge
"New Year, New Start Burtonesque Dolls Style"

Create a card/project with a New Home or New Baby theme, but don't forget to add
that Burtonesque Twist.

I started with this wonderful image from Simply Betty Stamps.  I entered this in a challenge for Simply Betty Challenges.  The rules were to use black, white and either red or pink.  I whipped this up pretty quick so I could get it posted before bed.
I used generic cardstock and misc. scraps I had on hand.

That's it, nice and simple!  Please vist The Burtonesque Dolls and see what the
Design Team has created to inspire you.

PEACE, LOVE & SASSINESS!!!

I am so SUPER EXCITED to announce that I am now a member of the Sassy Studio Designs Design Team!!!!   Wooo Hooo!!!!!

This week they are releasing some new Super Sassy images!!!  The one I am featuring is Hippie Chic.  She reminds me of my older sister growing up.  She loved her tube tops and poncho shirts, not to mention the bellbottoms.  I got this background paper a while back in the hopes of making something for my niece.  She LUVS the peace symbol.  Sorry Grace, I used your paper for something else.  The sentiment is from SU, a few brads and a flower and we are done.

This new collection is call "Blast from the Past" and we are doing a blog hop today.  Please check the SSD site for all the details.  Your next stop will be Kathy.  I am supposed to have a song for you but what can I say, the new girl hasn't figured this out yet.
Thank you all for your support.  If you are not a follower, please consider it.  I am hoping to watch my numbers grow.

Thanks for stopping by!

UPDATE!!!!!!!!  I just figured it out and my song is:  Heart of Glass.  Sorry for the confusion.

Flowers at 2 Sisters Challenge

Today over at 2 Sisters Challenge the theme is FLOWERS.  I started off with this adorable Fairy from Digi Doodles.  She is so sweet.  Next came the lovely floral background paper.  I picked that up at my local Archiver's.  My original plan was to have her sitting on a flower, but then I decided to make her the center of a flower.  I cut the ovals out using Nesties and then distressed the edges with my new Tim Holtz paper distresser.  I cut up a bunch of silk flowers and attached each petal to the back of the oval with glue dots.  The cardstock is generic as is the ribbon.  I added a beautiful leaf pic to the bottom corner just because I really wanted to use it!  I have had the box sitting around for a while now.

Please drop by and join us at 2 Sisters Challenge for your chance to win and visit our sponsor Digi Doodles for this cute Fairy and much more.  Thanks for stopping by.

Gettin' Girlie...

Over at 2 Sisters Challenge this weekwe are Gettin' Girlie!!!  I must apologize for not doing justice to this super cute image from Pattie's Creations.  My mojo just wasn't cooperating this week.  I hope to have it back soon.   I have loved genies since I was a little girl.  I think this image is just adorable.

I colored the genie with Copic markers.  The pants and vest are done from the background paper.  The cardstock is from Stampin' Up.  The gems and ribbon were from my "Box O' Scraps".  I cut the sentiment out with an EK Success punch.

My sister and I each felt the hair should match ours.  I am blonde, she is a red head.  As you can see above, I won.  I hope you join in the fun with us this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

2 SISTERS CHALLENGE......Thinking of You

I am so pleased to announce that I am now a member of the 2 Sisters Challenge Design Team.  The challenge this week is to make a Thinking of You card.  Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Stamps.

The image I used is called Flower Fairy and she is just adorable.  The background paper is from Purple Panda and has also been used on the bodice piece.  Unfortunately, I was a little pressed for time so I tried to keep it simple.  I added a few silk flowers and a button.  I hope you like it.

Please see 2 Sisters Challenge for all the details.  We are asking that these cards be mailed to Stacy Walker who will send them to patients at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston.  We hope you will participate.

Thanks for stopping by.
