ON THE 11TH DAY OF HALLOWEEN...

...my ghoul love gave to me, 11 bats a flying. Simply Betty Challenges asked us to use bats in our project. We are so close to the end. This is sooooooooo exciting. Here is my entry:

I used SBS Fez digi for my main image and colored him with Copic markers and used dimensionals from SU to pop him up.  The coloring took forever but it doesn't really show up in my picture.  I seem to keep having that problem.  He sort of blends in with the grass but in real life it is quite cool.  I cut the bats, moon and vellum ghost (I LOVE vellum) out with my silhouette and added some glitter to the main bat's eyes.  I was rushing and had a glitter accident all over.  I will be cleaning it up tomorrow.

I sponged the moon, background and grass with SU inks, misc. colors.  The bottom web punch is from MS.  The gravestone is a stamp from Smeared Ink.  The pumpkin and sentiment are from SU.

I am still fairly new to blogging and challenges.  This 12 day challenge has sure taught me a lot.  Simply Betty Stamps are awesome and I have had a great time using them.  I hope all the other crafters are enjoying this as much as I am!

ON THE 10TH DAY OF HALLOWEEN...

...my ghoul love gave to me, 10 creepy spiders spinning their webs just for me. Simply Betty Challenges asked us to incorporate spiders in our project. Here is mine:

I know, I missed day 9.  I just didn't have time to work it in but I am happy to jump back in.  My cardstock is from SU and the background paper is from MM.  If you look closely at the background, you can see that my words are upside down (accident) but I like it anyway.  I cut out the webs with my Silhouette.  For the image I used the Spiderella digi and colored her with Copic markers.  I added some googly eyes to the spider.  He is a cutie!!!

I had trouble with the scanner and the camera today again so this was the best shot I could get.  The colors are much deeper than they appear in the picture.  Someday I will get the hang of this.  I hope you like it.

I am amazed at how many challenges are on the web.  I don't know how most of the crafters can keep up with them.  I am hoping to enter more in the future,  I just need to learn time management.

Thanks for stopping by.  FTPD

ON THE 8TH DAY OF HALLOWEEN...

...my ghoul love gave to me 8 waltzing zombies dancing around a witch cauldron.  Simply Betty Challenges challenged to use zombies and/or witch cauldrons.  So here you go...

I cut the cauldron out using my silhouette and shaded him with various SU inks and some Copics.  The image is from Smeared Ink and it is called Build a Zombie.  I LOVE it!!!  I colored my zombie with Copics.  I got quite a late start on this one and didn't get to it until about 9 pm.  I am so glad I finished in time to enter it.  Good luck to all and thanks for stopping by.

BERT'S ANGELS

Aunt Sylvia

ME

SUZ

I am dedicating the above cards to Bert.  His last name must remain a secret to protect the innocent.  The Warrior Women images are from Barbara Jensen Designs.  I colored each with Copic markers.  I used minimal layering to not distract from the images themselves.  Thanks for stopping by.   xoxoxo

ON THE 7TH DAY OF HALLOWEEN...

...my ghoul love gave to me 7 Skellington heads.  Simply Betty Challenges challenged us to use Jack Skellington or any skeleton.  I know, I know, I missed day 6.  What can I say?  Life caught up with me.  So here is my entry.

I used a Bugaboo digi for the devil and the skeleton is from SU.  I heat embossed him with white embossing powder.  Here is a close up of the them.

The punches used for this are all MS (sorry to say).  I used the bat, drippy glue and the cobweb border.  I colored the devil with Copics and added some stickles to the flames for a little sparkle.  The brads are from SU.

ON THE 5TH DAY OF HALLOWEEN...

...my ghoul love gave to me 5 flying ghosts whispering in the wind.  The ghost(s) can be spooky, cute or funny.  Simply Betty Challenges 12 Days of Halloween is on day 5.  Here is my entry.

I used my silhouette to cut out the pumpkins and colored them with SU markers for depth.  The little witch is from SU.  I colored her with Copic markers.  I went for a Casper & Wendy feel for this one.  I used vellum for the ghosts (thanks to Barbie for the idea) and double layered them.  I wanted that transparent feel.  The sentiment is also from SU.  The cardstock is generic from I don't know where and the background is a spooky graveyard I found online.

I am also entering this in the SBC monthly scene it challenge.  The challenge was to take inspiration from Sally & Linus in a pumpkin patch from It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.  Thanks for stopping by.  xoxoxoxox

THINK PINK

This is for the Sassy Studio Designs "THINK PINK" challenge.  This challenge is in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The challenge was to use pink.  I used the new Sassy Mummy digi.  I absolutely LOVE this stamp.  I colored her using Copic markers...I love the pink wrap.  I used a beautiful glittery heart paper I have had for quite a while for the background.  I also used my MS drippy goo punch.  I layered a flat black with a shimmer black, then added some scrap pink ribbon.

The pyramid was my mother's idea.  I found the image online and cut it out with some nesties.  The bats are made from the shimmer black and the background paper.  I cut them out with my MS bat punch.  The sentiment is from SU.  The flourish was left over from some graduation announcements I made for my niece.

On the 4th Day of Halloween...

...my ghoul love gave to me 4 crazy Ravens.  So for this SBC challenge we had to use ravens.  We also had to include this quote from Vincent "His voice was soft and very slow as he quoted The Raven from Edgar Allen Poe: “and my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor shall be lifted? Nevermore…”

So here is my entry.  My cardstock is some tan shimmer paper I got at Pat Catan's.  The DP is from JoAnn's.  I think the chandelier stamp is from Kaiser.  I used James from the Simply Betty Victorian Beauties.  I tried to go for a Victorian feel.  I thought the paper looked like wallpaper.  I cut out four large ravens and alternated them in brown and black (not sure if you can tell in the picture).  I also added a shadowed raven in the chandelier.  I had the gems laying around and thought they went well with the coloring of the card.  I also added a flourish in the bottom right corner but I think the background paper kind of swallows it up.

My last card didn't make the cut for day 3 :'(  so I am hoping to do better this time.  I am still having trouble getting dimension to show in my pictures so I scanned this one.  If anyone has any tips on getting a good picture, I am open to suggestions.

Simply Betty Challenges is offering great prizes for this 12 day challenge.  Get in on it if you can.

On the 3rd Day of Halloween...

...my ghoul love gave to me, 3 creepy rag dolls to love and cherish each Halloween.

This is day 3 of the Simply Betty 12 days of Halloween challenge.  This was a great challenge.  It took quite a while for me to finish and we only had 1 day to do it.  Sally was the main rag doll image we had to use and she was given to the followers of Simply Betty.  I decided to use Millerstein from Simply Betty as another rag doll.  My third rag doll is from Sassy Studios designs (I hope that doesn't hurt my chances).  All 3 had facial stitching and I thought they worked well together.

I made a box for the 3 dolls to arrive in.  Unfortunately, I still haven't gotten the hang of taking a good picture.  Here is a close-up of the box of dolls.

There is quite a bit of dimension to this card but most of it doesn't come through.  One of these days I will figure out how to take a better picture.  I used a couple of MS punches for the bat and the web borders.  The Jack image I found online and I sponged a little ink around to add more depth.  The green tissue paper is actual tissue paper.  The rest of the cardstock is from SU and the images were colored with Copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by.

On the 2nd Day of Halloween.....

This is for the SBC & TBD 12 days of Halloween challenge.  The top 12 were picked for day 1 and I made the cut!  Now for day 2 we were challenged to do a card with 2 trick-or-treaters.  I chose to use Millerstein and Jazzy.  I colored them with Copics and popped them up with SU dimensionals.  The background is actually my grandmother's house in Kentucky.  I tried to think of a place that I wouldn't want to trick-or-treat at and her house was it.  Since her passing it has really fallen apart and many family members believe it is haunted.

I put 3 dancing skeletons on the top and one on the side by a gravestone.  The gravestone on the bottom right is actually a cupcake pick that I found at WalMart.  I thought I could use them somehow in my crafting and a pack of 6 was only $1.79.  I heat embossed the tree and owl image in gold to keep it subtle and spooky.  The tree, pumpkin and sentiment are all from SU as is the cardstock.  I added some spooky grass using my MS drippy goo punch and some soft suede ink.

Having only 1 day to complete each of the 12 projects is quite difficult for me.  My time is very limited but I am going to try my best to get them in on time.  It is a lot of fun!  I wish everyone entering lots of luck.

MY SISTER HAS A BLOG!

Hi all.  My sister just started a blog and I wanted to pass along her address so that you may visit her as well.  She has asked me to tell you all that she is a brand new crafter so don't expect too much.  She is way too hard on herself.  Give her a visit at http://realmofrhonda.blogspot.com/

Hi all. This card is for 2 different challenges. The first is The Burtonesque Dolls challenge #20. The challenge was to use the sketch below created by Paper Addict Catherine who I had the pleasure of meeting back when we were both getting Copic certified.

The next challenge is for Simply Betty Challenges 12 days of Halloween. This challenge goes on for 12 days. You only get one day to complete each card. For the first day you have to include one or more skeleton heads or skeletons on your project. Please see the SBC page for full details.

I did my best to incorporate both challenges on this card. Using the sketch was great...the less thinking the better for me. I used a new image from Sassy Studio Designs called Frankenstein/Zombie. The background paper is covered in skulls with either purple, green or orange eyes. I used my MS drippy goo punch as well as some Nestabilities. The fringe is left over from last Halloween. I think it was from Bo Bunny. I used sparkling orange gumdrops in the corners but for some reason the color doesn't show up in the picture. Oh well, I must learn to take better pictures.
Good luck to all who are entering and happy crafting!
